OK so yesterday I got to transform myself back to my youth, and although I’m back to the ‘grown up’ Sky today, heh, I’ve never really grown up.  As evidence, I present to you my shopping haul when Beachy sent me out to do some Christmas shopping for the ‘extended family’.  I seem to have decided that I’m the only ‘extended family’ she needs, so I did my shopping 😉

Never gets old

I never get old, I might have some wrinkles and some grey hair, but I’m destined to be young (at heart) forever.  Some of the gifts I’m showing you today have also been around for a while, but they fit and look as good as ever, so let’s show them off.  Yes, of course I went out shopping in my pajamas, has anyone really ever gotten dressed again since the pandemic?  I live for comfort and I found some in this free group gift from Noche.  I’ve had these PJs a while, but I wear them every year.  They are a fatpack with a bunch of solid textures and 2 snowflake textures.  They come sized for:

My socks are also a free group gift, but these are from Unfolded.  I believe they were a gift a year or two ago but I’ve never been able to slide them into a picture, although Beachy wore her pair last year (they are unisex!) when she and Cre were lazing around in their new Christmas PJ’s puffin’ their hearts out.  Hey, at least I’m sober (currently lol).  The Unfolded group is free to join and these socks come sized for:

Well, well, well what do we have here?  Beachy digging through her massive pile of free gifts from The Saturday Sale Party Extravaganza and finding gauged earrings and something silly to wear on her head?  Seems like a perfect blog post to me 😉   I do love to bring you guys the fun and silly side of SL as much as I can, mainly because on any given day you can see me wandering the grid in the same silly looks.  My folder for weird stuff to wear on my head is probably one of the largest folders in my inventory 😉

You’ve got to me squidding me!

This is not a joke, there are somewhere in the vicinity of 250 gifts at The Saturday Sale Party Extravaganza!  Probably my favorite one is the one Allison wore when she told you about the event HERE but there are so many free gifts and something for everyone!  I picked out a few I didn’t think the other girls would choose and here’s what I came up with:

  • Free Sweater from Mug (sized for:  Maitreya/Petite/Flat, Legacy/Perky/Vtech, Kupra, Reborn/Vtech)
  • Free Squid from Skittish (in rainy or sunny colors)
  • Free Gauged Earrings from FaeTal (for M/F Swallow XL and Pixie gauged ears with a full color hud)
  • Free Nails from Pinky’s (sized for Maitreya, Peach, Legacy, Kupra, Reborn)

In addition to the free gifts, all the booths have an item at Saturday Sale prices, so there’s shopping to do too!

For some reason I thought we’d have time in September to get our inventories well organized in preparation for October, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.  It will take you a while to get through this event, don’t try to rush, it’s open until October 21st.

Hey Fabs!  I’ve been on my tour around SL shopping events and I came home with a few free gifts to tell you about.  It’s not an anniversary round or anything, just some random gifts that are out at the Vogue Event.  Fortunately, too, the booths for these gifts are right near each other to make it easy on you 😉   Although I wouldn’t just pop in and out, there’s some other gifts there I wasn’t able to show you, so take your time and roam.

Spicy

The first gift I wanted to show you is this hot little number I’m wearing, the Joanna dress by Spicy Girl.  We make a point of mentioning clothes when they’re modest, so I’ll make it a point to mention this girl is S-E-X-Y,  I definitely feel ready for a night time pool party.  It comes with a full color hud to change the color of the dress and the trim and comes in these sizes:

  • Lara X
  • Legacy/Bombshell
  • Reborn/Waifu

No group was needed to pick up this free gift, just buy it for 0L.

 

I wore my Reborn body for this blog post, even though the dress came in Lara X, because my next gift does not … lol.  I picked up a set of mesh nails at the [Morning Star] booth, and they’re adorable.  I really wanted to wear them to show you.  They have a fully customizable hud, you can change the polish on each finger, and the polish comes in various choices of plain or designs in hot pink and teal colors.  I am keeping a small collection of Reborn items so these nails will go straight into that folder.  This gift is free, but it requires the Vogue Event group, which is free to join.

The Vogue Event is open until September 25th, still some time to head over and see what you can find.

I was pretty excited about this gift, of course I wasn’t sure how to show it to you, but I think I pulled it off 😉

Not a trap

ContraptioN, a top notch steam punk/fantasy/RP store in Second Life, is celebrating it’s 13th Anniversary, and that means entertainment and gifts!  The link in this post will land you in the Grand Hall, which is where I believe this gift is kept, this is The Void Head *XIII* and it’s completely free.  **OOPS the FREE group IS needed*  just touch the sign and choose deliver.  If I’m mis-remembering and it’s 1L to buy it?  It’s refunded.  It’s very cool, it has a male and female in the box, and comes with a color hud for the metal decoration on the helmet, and then a bunch of options for the Void/Face screen.  I chose the galaxy option.  There’s a few different options and a full tinting panel so you can tint your void however you choose.  ContraptioN has different gifts through the anniversary but I picked this one to blog because Walton said it would remain available ‘somewhere’ until September 16th.

 

Not being a void head, I knew I needed something to pair with my new head, when I thought of this dress I won over at Cruel.  A few weeks ago I blogged some free gifts I found at Abscence and the other store on the sim, Cruel HERE.  Then I discovered Cruel had lucky chairs upstairs, so I stuck around and came home with a few outfits and some teeth! (I actually love the teeth they’ll be great in October lol).  No group (at the time) was needed to win so I hope that still applies, but even so, the group is free to join.  This is the Asmodeus Dress and it comes sized for:

OMG how do you all do this a few times a year?  I don’t think us guys are up to the insane amount of shopping and free gifts that come with a SL21B Shop&Hop!  I was exhausted after picking up all the gifts for men and take to a break, but sure enough, I did go back for all the unisex gifts too, because they’re also for men!   I left all the decor for Beachy, I’m happy just to squat in her houseboat 😉  Nonetheless, she’s making sure I come home loaded up with stuff!

I’m not complaining!

I’m not.  It’s been an extremely great month for men in SL!  The SL21B Shop&Hop is no exception.  As you may know, Fab Free has put together this incredible spreadsheet, not just for gifts, but it also helps you navigate through your shopping experience.  Generally men used to avoid these giant shopping expeditions, because it was rare to find gifts and shops for men, but the spreadsheet helped me find all the stores with men’s clothing and unisex items!  Look at some of what I brought home:

Yo!  I got a mix of free gifts to show you guys today, and even got a little make over in the process, so let’s start there!

Make Me Over

*** I typed this post 3 days ago and metaHumano was free, and there was a male and female skin available as a group gift.  They’ve since moved, and put out more skin gifts, but also created a VIP group which is 300L to join.  The SLURLS are updated as is the cost in the credits.   Apologies. ***

MetaHumano was a new to me skin store I learned about over the holidays when Lelutka did their 12 days of Christmas gifting event.  I’ve been in the group ever since, but admittedly hadn’t tried their group gift skin until now.  Crazy old me, cuz this skin is fantastic.  The Pablo skin has some Hispanic flair, as does the facial hair I’m wearing that’s included with the gift, but as you can see, I could also be very Roman, just look at that nose 😉   MetaHumano is free to join and they make female skin as well, and there’s a group gift available for each body type right now.

I didn’t stop there, though.  I was helping someone in chat find some free hairbases and came across the motherload, and some of them can be used with female bodies also.  Head over to Eaglelux, and join the group for free and pick them up.  There’s also a really cool shaved base that would look great for both sexes!  This one I’m wearing today is the Tristan hairbase, a great short look.

Dress Me Up

We’ve talked a bit about KiKiKaiKai and how generous they are, and we weren’t kiddin’!  If you guys head over to the Alpha event, you’ll find these awesome double layered denim pants in the KiKiKaiKai booth, in 6 different colors and they’re all free!  (They could be 1L, or 1L refunded but it won’t let me buy them again to double check).  They come in black with white, black on white, black on black and black on various shades of denim.  They’re all sized for:

Every free item is worth trying on your body though, it costs you nothing to see if it looks good and you can alpha parts and wear it yourself. 😉

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, I finally picked up some tattoos!  Someone mentioned Vezzo tattoos, and Beachy went over and found a ton and she sent me as well.  I joined the group for free and loaded up.  Man, if it was only this easy to change tats IRL, huh?  The Skulls tattoo comes in BOM (50%, 75% and 100%) and appliers for Omega, Belleza and Maitreya.  There’s gifts that both male and female bodies will like.  Once you join the group make sure you hit the 3 Midnight Madness boards there too 😉

It’s Second Life and I’d say if you’re here, you surely should believe in magic.  Just look, by the magic of gifts rigged for Pin-Up Bombshell, my chest expanded enormously! 😉  lol

So here I am, with yet ANOTHER free gift from Hito*gata for the Pin-Up Bombshell.  I recently blogged a dress, and in that post I let you know there was an additional top her little shop, and now here’s one more! It must be magic, the free gifts just keep multiplying over there.  There is a tip jar where you can thank her for all the gifts, and boxes full of gifts from 2022 and 2023 are still out also.

This top comes only rigged for Pin-Up Bombshell, but can be worn with alpha or a larger breast size on other bodies, but particularly Legacy brands.  There’s a full color hud for the top and the trim 🙂  As always, no group is needed for these gifts, just stop in and buy for 0L!

There’s a store that we’ve got up here in the frozen North called Bulk Barn.  Terrible name aside, it’s a shop filled with aisles and aisles of goodies.  You can get anything from crispy m&m’s to chia seeds to baking chocolate, all in bulk format.  You get a lot of choice, often with the dangerous consequence of walking away with 20 donut shaped cookies that you never set out to buy in the first place.  The point I’m trying to make (I swear I have one) is that to me the lucky board in SL, is kinda the same thing.  You have a pile of pretty things you never needed, but walk away with anyway, though slightly less fattening than a bag full of barbecue ringolos.

Hello lovelies! I’m back from my holiday and boy have I got a lot to show you!

Some people might take it easy after a break, ease themselves back into the flow. Well not me! I have created 30 (yes, 30) free outfits for you from The Season’s Palette hunt!

The season’s palette hunt is ideal for you capsule-wardrobe lovers as every single item in the hunt is made up of colours from this season’s chosen colour palette! Meaning EVERYTHING will go together effortlessly! And it’s not just women’s clothing either, there’s furnitures and men’s outfits in the hunt as well. You have until 10th September to  run around 50 stores and search for the little palette!

Glam Couture has a new store, and has graciously set out a dollarbie that will help us make it through these last few chilly days of winter. This brown jacket (as blogged by Renee here) is complete with a fur collar to help keep the cold kiss of winter at bay.

The letters on these change frequently, and there is some nice stuff here, including.. ~insert collective gasp here~… L$! I was lucky enough to walk away with a little extra spending money, a mermaid tail complete with ao (so pretty!), and a nicely detailed red gown (just in time for Valentine’s Day!).
