Pretty in Pink

A very happy Sunday to all! This is a quickie that is time sensitive so read & go! The Fifty5 Thursday sale ends today. As I was perusing the sales gallery I saw this dress and decided it is a must have.

The Leyla dress from Flower Dreams is truly special. I’d even call it divine. It shows off your curves while maintaining coverage of your bits! I love the strings of jewels that connect the two sections of the dress. Aren’t they gorgeous? Leyla is both fun or formal. The package includes a three texture hud that also allows you to change the look of the jewels. I paid only $55L for this beauty and the sale ends today so scoot on over and grab one for yourself.

My pink hair, Vinette, is a free hunt prize at the Autumn is Coming Event at Wonderland Beach. It comes in various pink colors. There are a number of different gifts/prizes scattered throughout the event. You’re looking for a treasure chest. For the smoll folk there is a Dinkie area with shops and gifts.

Also you can visit the huge A&A store on the sim. There are several free mania & letter boards in the store. There is also a FabFree group gift in the store. It’s the Vinnette hair in Ombre colors.

My earrings are another gift from Tutti Belli. The store recently moved and more group gifts have been set out. The delicate butterfly earrings are just one of those gifts. The group remains free to join and Lidia is so generous! You can find skins, jewelry, and make-up at the store. I included a picture below’

Homeless in high style!

Ok, funny story. Here I was, doing a little decorating at my home to take pictures for this post, putting out some Christmasy stuff, when I decided that I didn’t like one of the items I had put out. So, I selected it and deleted it. Oops! It was actually my home that I had selected, and suddenly poof, no more church! What is even more funny, the actual building belonged to my Mom, so it is no simple thing to just pull it out of my inventory and put it back down, I have to wait for her to actually log into SL to put it back out for me. So now my post has turned into a Christmasy ‘waiting’ post. LOL

Lucky for me, I can almost forget that I am homeless for the moment, as I do not have to sit in the snow, I have a decorative element to make my wait pretty, and, one of my KittyCatS decided to hang around (while the rest immediately took off, enjoying their new-found, ‘no-wall’ freedom). The lovely ottoman I have, to keep me out of the snow, and the beautiful wreath behind me (easel not included), are both items available from the Park Place booth at the Wash Cart sale, which just so happened to have officially started today, and of course are each L$10. The choices of poses in the Red Poinsettia Ottoman, both for females, and males, are all really great, and I love the simplicity of the Holiday Ornament Wreath. You have until Jan 6th to visit the Park Place booth, for these, and other lovely decor items, as well as some pretty, mesh, crop sweaters.

Speaking of sweaters…I love the idea of the ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ party, and that was what I was actually decorating for in the first place. Well, maybe not a party, as it would have only been me and my cats, but…any excuse to wear an ugly Christmas sweater is ok in my books. How nice of high.v to have put out a gacha at this round of fi*Friday, just full of ugly Christmas sweaters! I got the perfect one for me, it says ‘I want to believe Santa is out there’, which all you fellow sci-fi/alien nerds know, is a riff on X-Files and the “I Want to Believe” UFO poster that Mulder has. For only L$55 a play, choose the machine you want to play, male, female or TD Kids and Baby. and then you will get 1 mesh sweater, that comes in all of the standard sizes. Even though I forgot to grab a shot of the ad showing every one available, believe me, they are all cute. In fact…they really aren’t ugly at all. I’m not sure if this machine will stick around for the next round, so just in case, you better make your way down to fi*Friday before Friday, or you may miss out.

OK, before I say goodnight, my kitty, Cinder, reminded me that I never did officially introduce her. Cinder is my newest furbaby, and she is the 5th Anniversary Firestorm KittyCat, The FireFlurry. Like past firestorm kittys, you do not need food for them to survive. While the Firestorm anniversary was a little while ago, you can still get your own FireFlurry at the KittyCatS mainstore, for free, 1 per av.

One wrong turn…there’s no fiesta in Kowloon!

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week has been going by as easily as mine has been. I have to admit, I couldn’t wait for today, as I really, really wanted to share my gorgeous outfit with you. Don’t you just love when you put together a look and everything works so well together that you just want to IM all your friends and go out and party so you can show off? I wanted to find a nice Mexican fiesta, but took a wrong turn and ended up in the neon lit streets of Kowloon. Not really a party place, but it made for a nice backdrop for my pics. I guess I better just get to it and show you what I put together eh?

It all started with my dress. A friend of mine reminded me of the store AZUL, and how generous they are with putting out a new free group gift every month while leaving some of the older gifts out. I grabbed all of the most recent, fully intending to show you this months offer, until I put on May’s gift. The super sexy, black and white, mesh dress is a show stopper. With its ultra low back, longer-in the back skirt hem, and cute ruffle around the bum, without revealing too much skin, it is a perfect party dress. It comes in all the usual mesh sizes, so everyone should be happy. The AZUL group is free to join, and as I mentioned already, there are several of the past group gifts still out for you to pick up. I have to include a back shot, you understand, right?

The next logical step in putting my look together…the shoes! Lucky for me, I found the perfect pair while looking around at this weeks round of fi*Friday. First, I want to say how much I love that each fi*Friday round lasts for the whole week, so that even though I post on Thursdays, I can show you something from the current round and it will still be there until tomorrow! OK, onto the shoes. When you buy the Raisa Pumps from Wayne, for SLink high feet, you actually get 4 separate pairs. 2 versions with ankle straps and 2 versions without. What’s even better, they come with 2 colour change huds, one that has gold for the metal accents, and the other is silver. These huds have 20 different colours to choose from. So….if you do the math (and I hope I’ve done it correctly) that is a total of 160 pairs of shoes. Yup…160!! Oh, and they are materials enabled to boot! That gorgeous sheen on all of my pictures is not just a baked texture. All of that, for only L$55…how could I say no. You have until midnight tonight, and then this round of fi*Friday switches over to the new round, so do not wait too long to go grab these.

Lastly, as I had mentioned that my outfit was making me feel like finding a fiesta…I needed a tropical touch, and it needed to be red to play off of the red I chose for my shoes. Deciding that what I needed was a flower for my hair, I hopped onto the Marketplace to search. I came across the Springtime Hair Flower from AviCandy, that included a 9 different colours of flower, for only L$49. I went with the brights pack to get the red I wanted, but there are 2 other colour variation packs available, so you are sure to find one to match whatever you may be wearing. With as detailed and realistic as these flowers are…you may just want to put together a whole outfit with them as the starter!

Well…I never did find my party, but that’s ok, as I looked fabulous anyways. I’ll just tune into a salsa music station and make my own party 🙂 Alright lovelies, that is it for me. I will see you all again, same time next week. Until then…TTFN *salsa’s out of the building*
