Happy Friday, Fabulous Readers! Gus and I took the time to savor the hush of the first winter storm as flakes drifted lazily down today. Of course, as a Saint Bernard, he cherishes the snow, and since I rarely see it in RL, I do, too.
Savor the Sales, Too
Of course, in addition to enjoying the winter wonderland, we also took time to find some budget-friendly items. Weekends bring some of the best sales in Second Life. On Fridays, I always check to see what is on sale for Fifty Linden Fridays, and today I happily noticed Exile is featuring a gorgeous hairstyle with long flowing locks. May is parted in the center and features side-swept bangs and soft waves. I opted to use the single-color FLF Naturals HUD, but the designer also gives us the option of a split HUD where you can color half of the hair a different shade. The HUD allows the choice of 5 different colors and 4 styling options. I’m not sure how long the hair will be offered for 50L$, so if you like it as much as I do, don’t delay!
All that Glitters
I couldn’t resist the Perfect Girl eyeshadow palette at Fontaine Cosmetics. Priced at just 69L$ for the District 69 Sale the folder includes 8 shimmering eyeshadows with winged eyeliner. I chose a blue shade to coordinate with my sweater, but all the colors are just so pretty! I had to take a picture with my eyes closed so you could see the makeup clearly.
These Boots
On a chilly day, winter boots will help to keep your feet warm – and if your feet are comfy, the rest of you will be cozy, too. Another Fifty Linden Friday find, the Alice boots from Pure Poison, were a definite “yes” in my book. With thick cuffs to ward off the snow, plush quilted fabric, and cute fur decorations, you’ll be dressed for the elements in style. The designer includes a color change HUD with twelve hues to select from, and the ability to separately color 5 shoe elements.

Delightful, Not Frightful
Oh fine, I’m going to go for a bit more snow. But it’s like… not the gross kind of snow. It’s the kind that stays nice and crunchy and crisp and you definitely don’t have to shovel it and it is totally not making you uncomfy and blowing in your face. Does that sound ok?
Ski Bunny
The reason I ventured out into the snow is that this outfit from LeCastle really put me in an apres-ski mood. You know, the part where you hang out by the fire and watch the snow falling out the window with hot chocolate and feel great? Yeah. That. Pequita comes with the fuzzy sweater top, the bra and par of string panties and a pair of leggings. It also comes with a HUD to choose colors of everything AND the opacity of the leggings. Boho Glow
Good evening, Fab Fam! As we are hurtling towards the weekend, I wanted to show off a New-To-Me designer. ( And say a big Thank You to Cisop for turning me on to them♥) As soon as I saw this oh so Bohemian/ Audrey Hepburn look I knew I had to have it.

Dipping Into Roleplay

Melt With You
I am feeling warm and melty like chocolate that was left out in the sun. A long, busy weekend is ending. Another longer and busy(er?) week is about to begin. But I’ll just spend a little time in between here being melty. Or maybe it’s the martini talking. After all, a glass of gin is bound to make you feel a bit warm on the inside, too.

You may know this about me, FabFree, but in SL I am a fan of quality. Sure I have my particular style, things that I prefer to wear/use, and a type that I am drawn to. But more than any of that, I just love the gorgeous things that people create, whether it be a split lip or especially good shine on a piece of clothing. I am in awe of the quality and creativity.
