Happy Monday, Fabulous Readers! Gus and I are back to share another prize from the Flowers Time Hunt 6 with you, and a budget-friendly skirt we picked up on the Marketplace.
Dappled With Daisies
At the Good Vibes store, I scooped up this adorable Ho’okipa Kauwela Set for just 3L$ once I found the daisy hidden in the shop. The set includes my white and yellow daisy flower earrings and the charming black framed glasses studded with miniature daisy blossoms and tiny green leaves. I wear glasses in RL, so it’s rare that I wear them in SL. These are super-cute and possess a summery vibe that I just love! You can wear the entire collection as I have done, or don the earrings and/or spectacles separately. You can touch and resize the glasses for the perfect fit for your avatar. The hunt runs through May 31st so you have plenty of time to pick up your own copy. Here’s a close-up for a better look:

The other day, I was scrolling through the Marketplace looking for bottoms to go with a top I had purchased, and I just happened to spot the Beach Floral Skirt from the Beaticia shop. It costs only 60L$ and is just so pretty! It features a high-waisted fit and large, gorgeous watercolor-style blossoms scattered across an ecru background. Its neutral color scheme allows it to coordinate with a variety of tops. Because it’s high-waisted, you’ll need to pair it with a cropped shirt for the best fit.

To add a bit of elegance to my outfit, I slipped on the large, black Naveeda Earrings from Enamour that I found at the Spookzilla Hunt for just 25L$. The glossy ebony hue of these hoops coordinates with my trousers and the black font on my shirt. The twists in the metal add visual interest. As Beachy stated in her post here, the Spookzilla Hunt is challenging, but there are so many wonderful prizes to find, all reasonably priced.

Hello there, Fabulous Readers! Tonight I feel like sailing away… The wind is right and I have this adorable nautical outfit to wear that I picked up as a free group gift. With just a dream and the wind to carry us, soon Gus and I will be free…but first, let me tell you about my find.

My ocean getaway was totally inspired by the latest free group gift from Hot Stuff. Agosto 2024 GG features a cheery blue and white striped tee with capped sleeves and navy overall shorts adorned with wooden buttons and white piping on the cuffs. It’s actually a one-piece outfit, so it’s super easy to get ready for a trip out to ride the waves. Actually, I don’t think it’s necessarily a sailing outfit, but that’s where my mind went. This cute, casual number would be just as well suited for a land lover’s day as well! While the Agosto 2024 GG is free, you do need to be a member of the Hot Stuff group to pick it up, and there is a 198L$ join fee.

Hello Fabulous Readers and Happy Monday! In the past few years, real-life threw some events my way that I never expected or wanted. I’ve often said that when one door closes, another opens. Well, my belief in that saying sure was tested. During difficult times, sometimes it’s hard to remember that when life doesn’t work out as you wanted, something better is coming your way. As I combed through my group notices this morning (yup, I do it too, Beachy!) I came across a happy announcement from the Coco Update Group, that mentioned a new freegift. I’m a huge fan of Cocoro Lemon’s work, and she is so generous with her group gifts. I quickly teleported to her shop and scooped up this simple top with a powerful, timely message. It features tank-style sleeves, a cheeky cropped fit, and text in a green cursive font. The update group is completely freeto join and there are tons of other prior free gifties set out for you to collect. I’d highly recommend becoming a member and visiting the shop!

Give Me Just a Little More Time
If you haven’t started down the path of the Womenstuff Hunt, there’s still a few more days left. It runs through July 31st and contains more than 100 stops along the way. Hunt items are free, but you do need to be a member of the Womenstuff group to participate (50L$ join fee). My adorable butterfly heart earrings from the Moody Designs Store are just one of the prizes you can collect on the way. They are super cute and come with a texture change HUD with nine colors for the butterflies and nine options for the metal portion. To participate in the hunt, you’ll first have to travel to the start location and pick up a copy of the HUD for the hunt, which contains a preview photo for each item. If you grant permission for the hud to teleport you, it makes moving from location to location easy. You’ll be searching for a red bag hidden somewhere in the shop.

Hello again, Fab Free! It’s been a minute (ok, waaaaay more than a minute) since I last posted. Real life threw me a bunch of curve balls and I had to take a break from SL, but I am over-the-moon happy to be back! In my mind, the only place to spend the hot, sultry, late summer days is at the beach. While Gus sniffed around for the perfect location for our getaway, I did what I do best – headed out for some retail therapy to pick up everything we needed. I found the sweetest itsy-bitsy tropical print Marisol bikini over at Just Imagine. This cute little number hugs your curves and features delicate, chain-like shoulder straps. The free gift for members of the Just Imagine group also includes color-coordinating sunglasses and a visor to protect your peepers from the glare. You have to be a member of the group to receive the gift, but it’s completely free to join.

Next, I journeyed to AnaStyle to try my luck at the Follow-Up vendor there, hoping to score a chic cover-up to ward off the harsh rays of the sun. The Follow-Up board is filled with lots of summery goodies, all priced at 35L$, however, I had my eye on the oversized Malibu shirt. There are three color variations, all of which would complement the Marisol bikini well, but my favorite was the white. Luckily for me, that was the first prize available when it was my turn to play. For only 35L$, the Malibu top provides that added layer of protection and pairs perfectly with my suit. Its lightweight, translucent fabric lets your natural beauty shine through.

With my outfit ready to go, all that was left to do was pack a few snacks, a couple of water bottles along with a collapsible water bowl, some Gus-Gus treatos, and my latest library book into my oversized straw bag. This past weekend I completed The Nature Collective Spring/Summer Hunt and came away with some amazing prizes. This is a completely free hunt, but you do need to join The Nature Collective group to participate.
