I do love getting completely dolled up in SL.  Mostly because RL doesn’t often call for a floor-length ball gown, now does it?  Well, at least not my RL, I don’t know about your gallivanting, dear readers!

Bundles of Gifts

I almost missed out on the Bundles event – which is running until January 7th.  At most stalls, you’ll find there’s a free gift for everyone, just buy for 0L.  Be careful though, some of the gifts are paid and when you’re in a gift-collecting haze, we all know how that can go!  I was very pleased with the lovely gifts from Melt and Beloved Jewelry.  Melt is offering this gorgeous starry gown that comes with an HUD to change the top and bottom to some quite pretty festive colours.  Beloved Jewelry has some very delicate earrings as their gift which are way too beautiful to pass up.  I added a closeup of them below so you can see what I mean.  What else will you find at Bundles?

Today I bring you news of more FABULOUS FREEBIES!! Evil Bunny Productions is having the Down the Rabbit Hole 2 until July 20th. All you have to do is join the free Evil Bunny Hunts group when you land.

I wanted a fantasy look today and I wasn’t disappointed. This lovely sheer gown comes courtesy of Melt and only costs 75L. The package contains a texture change HUD with 5 different colors that can be mixed for the different sections of the gown.

Heyya FabFree! I’m back to being my own sweet self after my trip to the dark side. Certainly, putting on todays outfit helped change my mind back to being a creature of light and happiness. 😉

This is the “Enchanted Rose Set” from Melt and it’s allllll free for the FabFree Enchanted Forest Hunt. Can you tell yet that I am enjoying the heck out of this Hunt? I loved hunting in the green space of Melt’s SIM along an enchanting path with bunnies and deer and unicorns and so, many. flowers! It’s gorgeously done and a pleasure to walk through.

There are five pieces to find to complete the set and I am very impressed with the design and quality. I plan to tuck this beauty into my closet for my RP times.

The beaches of Second Life have always been one of my favourite places to forget everything about RL.  The sunsets are always perfect, the water is always the right temperature, and my outfit is always on point!  It’s also quite often free, because hey…it’s me!

Summer Feels

So, it’s snowing in my part of the real world today.  I knew I needed to head somewhere balmy in SL to make up for all the white stuff falling from the sky!  Luckily for me, the 35L Welcome Spring Event going on until March 31st has got me ready for just such an occasion!  I headed over there, joined their free group and clicked on the gift boxes at each booth!  Today I’m showing you…

There is magic if you believe in it. There are also freebies galore if you know where to look. The current round of Hot Summer 35L Sales is an excellent place to pick up quite a few free gifts. You’ll find clothing, poses, and even some beachy furniture. Also, the items at the booths are either 35 lindens each or 50% off regular price. The event runs now through July 31st, and you will need to join the 35L Sunday group. However, the group is free to join. The hair and dress I’m wearing are both free gifts at the Hot Summer 35L Sales event.

The Hair

This cute pinned up hairstyle is a free Hot Summer 35L Sales event gift by DeVon. Just don’t forget that 35L Sunday group tag. The hairstyle comes in the single ash blond shade shown. I also want to mention that as far as I could figure, it cannot be resized, it can however be repositioned.

P.S. The DeVon Gift also includes a brown shoulder bag!

The Dress

This pretty little dress by Melt is another of the many free gifts at the Hot Summer 35L Sales event. It comes with a color change hud that lets you pick from 6 jewel tones and black, for 7 total color choices. It comes in several sizes, and has an alpha layer making it suitable for classic avatars.

Hello Fab Free’rs! It’s my favorite time of year. The weather starts to get cooler, the leaves turn, and Halloween is just around the corner. I can tell from these playful if mildly occult themed gifts from the Garden of Shadows event that many of the designers in Second Life are getting into that magical mystical spirit of the season as well. At the current round of Garden of Shadows many of the participating designers put out at least one, sometimes several, 10 linden gifts. There’s no need to join a group or wear a tag to purchase these event cheapies. While shopping the event I saw 10 linden gifts for the ladies, gifts for the gentlemen, unisex items, and even some home goods. I picked out three of the gifts to share with you, I hope you like them!

The Top – It’s no mistake that these Garden of Shadows event gifts I chose to share have a slight fortune telling theme to them. I’ve always had a fascination with the other worldly and mystical. This top is from a shop called Shinu Made. This mini crop top has a fun, macabre Ouija board print complete with dancing skeletons. It comes in three mesh sizes, and is just 10 linden.
Sizes Included – Slink, Maitreya, Belleza (There is a single mesh size for each body.)

The Necklace – The flat black kitty cat necklace Pru is wearing is another 10 linden gift at the Garden of Shadows shopping event. This one is from a shop called ProFect. It does not have any scripts, which makes it a low lag accessory, and it can be manually resized.

The Crystals – I think these Divination Crystals from Melt are a really fun, beautiful accessory/prop. They spin and rotate as if propelled by magic. This Garden of Shadows gift is also just 10 linden. Along with the spinning animation, they have their own hold pose to complete the effect. Also included is a color change hud for the crystals that gives you 8 color options.

One of my fave books of all time is Alice in Wonderland.  I love the whimsical hilarity and borderline insanity of it all.  Plus I also love tea parties.  You can’t say no to a tea cup and a petit fours!  I found a very à propos outfit to show off my love of all things Alice!

Grinning Like a Cat

I made my way over to the Garden of Shadows event and found a few freebies lurking about!  Moonstar Designs have put out this fringed front tube dress with the Cheshire cat grinning away on the front.  I love the Cheshire cat.  I wonder if there are many cats in Cheshire (ehehe)… I also found this pretty amulet necklace by Melt for free !  It comes in a whole bunch of different shiny hues that generally make me a happy person.  Head on over to the Garden of Shadows and find these fun gifts!

You’re a Gem!

You're a Gem

One of the best things about Second Life is the fact that there are so many awesome places for you to take selfies.  And if you can’t find an awesome place, you make an awesome place.  That’s what I managed to do today with a few free gifts and a bit of creativity!

The Outfit

Before I get to my glittering surroundings, let me tell you about this cute outfit I grabbed over at the Vanity Event for free!  Scandalize is always generous with their gifts, and now that they’re running the Vanity Event, they haven’t slowed down one bit.  If you join the free group there, you will find this lovely little top and bottom combo in a truly appealing mint hue.  You can wear the top, bottom and sleeves all separately and there are two different options in the folder:  glitter (which of course I chose) and plain.  I love it!

The Gems

You can totally selfie it up with these giant gems from Melt!  I grabbed them for free over at The Gacha Life.  I joined their free group and clicked on all the little gift bags at the event, and lo and behold, one of them contained a whole bunch of pretty, colourful and glowing massive gems!  You can decorate your little world to your heart’s content.  Whee!
