It’s a holiday up here in Canada and I’m taking it easy, getting ready to see some fireworks to celebrate Victoria day!  I think that calls for a cute outfit… and of course, if that outfit is free… then even better.

Time for some skateboarding.  Do I know anything about skateboarding?  Not really.   Well, I mean…I know you need a skateboard.  That’s the extent of my knowledge.  HOWEVER, what I do know is how to look cute at the skate park, and really – that’s half the battle (I know it’s not, but…work with me here).

A Place of My Own

There’s nothing better than a little corner of the world you can retire to when things get overwhelming.  Plus, it’s just so much fun to build these kind of places in SL, isn’t it?  I’ve got some time-sensitive stuff for you today, so let’s hop right in!

Happy Birthday!

Noveny is celebrating their 2nd anniversary in grand fashion this weekend.  You have to be quick though, because it’s only happening today and tomorrow!  There are lots of fun new things to get stuck in to.  I was particularly enamoured with the little hunt they have going on.  It’s free for everyone, and there are three really nice items: The two hanging shelves you see on the wall, plus the lovely wooden frame that you can put your own photos in.  The hunt object you’re looking for is a wooden crate.  While you’re there, you should also join the group (it’s just 30L) and you can grab a 300L in store credit to buy anything you like.  I just had to have this celestial printed tapestry that’s hanging over the fireplace.  It cost me just 200L, leaving me 100 to buy something else pretty.  Be aware that you’ve got until the 31st to spend the credits.  Noveny has some really beautiful items, this is is not to be missed!

Off to Mirus

In my travels tonight, I stopped off at Mirus Designs and found that they have a rather extensive wall of group gifts.   The Rockabilly outfit caught my eye since I always like a good tied sweater around the waist moment.  You’ll find that this outfit comes with the t-shirt, shorts and tied sweater, which is a pretty great combo.  To get it, just join the Mirus Designs group for 10L, and then pay the vendor 1L.  There are lots of other gifts to pick up too while you’re there!

Spoop-diddly-umptious!

Hey gang!

So after three days of trying, I finally got into FLF-O Ween.  Yep, three days.  Nearly landed me in the loony bin.  Oops!  Did I say *nearly*.  I meant to say…. *clearly!*  As you can see, my head is spinning quite a bit from all those teleports to nowhere via my retry HUD.

Oh yes, and I’ve donned my bunneh mask and grabbed my lucky bunneh voodoo doll for comfort too (any guesses who I am using it on?  hee hee), oh and a perfectly *spooky* t shirt, so cute!

As a side note, I noticed lately, that spooky, sometimes becomes spoopy.  What is the difference between the two?  Spoopy to me sounds like what ghosts make when they use the little ghouls room.  Be right back, I gotta take a spoopy!  Or a speepy?  That will be the word for next year, you just wait!

But I digress!

Back to the matter at hand.  I’m showing y’all today the plethora of goodies I managed to spoop (erm I mean scoop!) up once I got into the Flf event.

My spooKy shirt (not to be confused with the little wet spoopy ones!) was so cute and that was a free gift (the gifts are free, but you do need to join and activate the Fifty Linden Fridays group, which is free to join) from Nectarine, and it fits Maitreya.  My pants are a free gift from Jeune by Rowne.  They fit:
