Hello there, Fabulouses, and Happy Monday! This morning, the pupster and I enjoyed a walk on the beach on the Miss C sim before diving in to our work week. I can’t imagine a better way to start the day than a stroll across damp sand while waves roll in and the cries of seagulls fill the air.
Just a Dollar…
Today, I’m wearing another of our recent hunt discoveries, and I picked it up for just one Linden dollar. This time, we were exploring the trail of the Around the Grid Hunt, and when Ripley led me to the hot air balloon hunt object, I happily paid the fee and scooped up my prize. The Tia Tropical Knotted Tank from Sparrow by Design features narrow shoulder straps and a fun parrot/jungle flora print. The generous designer also included a texture change HUD, which allows you to select from three overall hues. I opted for the pale purple, but you could also select a brown or a green color scheme. The neckline of the top dips quite low, so you might want to consider a longer hairstyle for extra coverage. The texture of the knot and the folds in the fabric are really well done. This top is a real cutie!

I love the “dog days” of summer, when the evenings are warm, the days are shorter, and you know that fall is just around the corner. At least, in SL, that is. Where I live in RL, we typically don’t get a “summer”; it’s just more of the same fog and gloom, day after day after day… I seriously need to pick up one of those SAD lights, pronto! Anyway, Gavin dropped by with Duncan this afternoon, and we had a fun time out in my Persimmon Summer House by Lisp. You can still pick one up today (I hope!) in a variety of colors for 188L at Collabor88. The pink tub of foxgloves by the door is a free gift from La Galleria.
Gavin is wearing Ocean, one of two men’s group gifts available at YDEA. The gift includes the mesh shirt, shorts, and “mandals.” He’s also wearing the “3th Year Anniversary” group gift hair from *Dura*, which comes in a great, big fatpack of colors. Care showed you how this hair looked on the ladies last month, but it works great for the guys, as well! He’s also wearing an earring and bracelet by AIDORU, which you can find as a MENstuff group gift over at the Lounge. As for me, I’m wearing Lazy Summer, a group gift by Prim & Pixel, which includes the knotted top, capri pants, and belt. There is a new gift out now, but you can still find this one and a BUNCH of past gifts on the back wall of the store. Oh, and this fun pose is a dollarbie by Seil Xpression on the Marketplace.
My skin is Cecilia, the August group gift from .::WoW Skins::.. This one comes with and without cleavage, but did not come with appliers this time; however, I was able to use appliers from a previous gift in the milk color to match my mesh hands and feet. My hair is Nana, the latest group gift from Miss C, which also comes in a great, big fatpack of colors (I ❤ fatpacks)! My necklace is an oldie, but a goodie, and has been shown here several times by various FF bloggers, but I still love it. You can pick up the Gold Heart Key in 3 sizes at the Energy Club.

Oh my goodness, the paparazzi is out in full force today at .the event HOLLYWOOD! The sim was so full that I couldn’t even TP in to take photos or get exact SLurls. Ah well, you’ll just have to wander around and pick up all the great swag bags until you find exactly what you’re looking for. 😉
Let me first say that the designers at .the event. HOLLYWOOD have been so generous. When Love told me to go over and take a look, I thought there would only be a few designers with swag bags. But nooo, almost every store has something wonderful for you, for FREE! And with 80 designers to choose from, your virtual arms are going to be very full! So let me show you a few goodies that I picked up yesterday…
I loved this Ballerina Aurora Dress by Snowpaws as soon as I tried it on. It’s part ballet tutu + part sexy corset, and the flexi skirt moves so gracefully. Plus, it’s purple, my favorite color. 😀 I added these sparkly Mesh Glitter Heels in silver by *Epic*.
Snowpaws was also thinking of our jewelry needs, and included these dangly, purple Felin Parvant Earrings in the box with the Aurora dress. I couldn’t resist adding this silver and purple ring from FINESMITH, which I picked up yesterday at The Spring Fling Hunt (more about that in a future post). The skin I’m in today is a free gift from [HUIT] at The Skin Fair, and it comes with and without cleavage. My Angelina Eyes are from MULHOLLAND’s swag bag, and my hair is Kate by Miss. C. It does not come with a hairbase, so like Love, I also paired it with a hairbase from >TRUTH<.
.the event. HOLLYWOOD opens today at 2pm SLT and runs until April 14th. At this very glam event you will find 80 designers with exclusive new release designs and…. almost all of them have a SWAGBAG GIFT that you can pick up on your way out (some of them have a couple!). That’s right Fabulouses… There are over 80 gifts at this event just waiting for you to pick up!
The stunning red Mia Gown I am wearing in the photo above is Masoom’s exclusive design. Chop Zuey is where you will find these gorgeous matching Paparazzi III Jewels as a free gift. This set includes the necklace in two variations (one with a drop, one without), the bracelets, and earrings.
