I want to be in that number, when the Saints go marching in! I did find a reasonable facsimile of a New Orleans Saints cheer outfit. I do have to divulge that our team is not doing well so maybe I should have a paper bag on my head. That custom started in the late 70s to early 80s. The team had a season of 1 win & 15 losses. So fans started calling themselves “Aints” instead of Saints and wore paper bags on their heads. Of course some were decorated with art work.

The team is having another losing season so I decided they need cheering on in SL also. I found this super cute cheer outfit at Fancy Dancer and it was on sale! It’s only $30L for the 30L Saturdays sale to buy the Comet outfit. It consists of a top & the skirt. There are several available color options to choose from.

Hooray! It’s Hump Day!

Hump day is here! Just ask any camel and it will be verified. It’s also the day after the 50/50 sales begin. You know, all of us bloggers are constantly looking for something to show you.

I saw the Stephanie dress on sale for only $50L at Web Dew. Of course I decided I really needed this dress. To me it has a retro vibe with a few extras. I can’t remember ever seeing a dress with the swivel hooks and rings as part of the design. I like it! It gives the dress an updated look. There are many details on this one like all the stitching on the bodice and the skirt being held up by the hooks & eyes. You can beat this price at all.

I’m an Ombre Cowgirl! Isn’t this ombre texture just perfect for a modern cowgirl? And it’s denim so it’s a lot easier to clean then rhinestone studded cloth. My entire out fit, including the jewelry and hat, is the gift from V8 Underground. If you have ever gotten anything from the store in the past you’d know that just about every outfit has all you need for the particular look. Back to Cool Hunt Mostyn_001

You knew the October Halloween events are near. Did you know there is something you need for Halloween on the FabFree Back to Cool hunt?? The Back to Cool hunt runs through September 30th. You can see what’s been set out as hunt prizes here. And don’t miss out on the the CakeDay and Swank Anniversary rounds. Swank will end on September 30th. Cakeday will close on September 29th.

My look today is inspired by the Back to Cool hunt prizes from Mostyn Street. It started out with this witch hat and very cool scarf. Both are $5L each. The hat has a band in the same leopard print as the scarf. The scarf does move when you walk. It sort of floats behind you. Like I said it’s very cool. The items are in one size only but modifiable. (Plus points for us bloggers with big heads.)

I added some witchy looking clothing from previous years as well as new makeup I picked up at events. I am wearing the Goldy eyeshadow from Modish (Free gift at Cakeday/Free group required). You can’t really see it here but trust me it is sweet; it’s BOM for EvoX heads.

My lipstick is a gift at Swank’s 10th Anniversary round from PAIX. It comes in matte colors with a 6 texture/color change options. (Free gift at Swank/Free group required).

Please excuse my train of thoughts. Sometimes the train derails and at other times is isn’t sure what track to take!

Feeling Like a Fantasy

30L Sat God Mod/Simply Shelby 5-28-2022

Happy Saturday! I have a couple of goodies to show you. SL weekends are stuffed with sales events. There are tons of items at heavily reduced prices. I don’t roleplay in Second life but I do like a lot of the clothing and “magical” items. One of my go-to sales for those genres is $30L Saturday. There is a good mix of items so everyone is likely to find something they “need”. So, today I decided to do something a little different.

How This Happened

Reviewing the sales gallery the first item that caught my eye was a splendid scepter (I admit I thought it was a staff!). Simply Shelby creations are well made and sometimes a bit on the fantastical side. I love this one! The Maleficent Scepter Set comes with three colors: rose red, moss green, & mystical purple. The set includes both scripted with flicker & ribbon effects and non-scripted glow versions. An ad states it was “magically created from mystical fairy flower pods”. A tip about the store: The sales items often stay out for several days longer and you can slap a few MM boards while you’re there (NGN).

I needed something to wear that would show off my scepter. The stunningly textured Wild Rose Top & Maxi Skirt on sale at God Mod, a fairly new to me store, fit the bill. It looks so comfy I want a set in RL too. Note: Blue is the only color on sale.

Time for Flowers

It’s that time of year. Spring has sprung and summer is near. The beautiful colors of spring flowers never fails to brighten my days. Keeping them alive in the summer heat is another matter but we’ll discuss it later when I’m relaxing on the beach one day.

One of the SL lessons I learned early on is that hunts are an economical way to add to your SL closet (and garage, shed, dressers, etc).  Plus you discover new designers and places. When I saw the Flower’s Time Hunt 3 was starting up I just knew there would be wonderful prizes (click the link for hints & prize pics). It ends on May 31st. As I have posted in the past this is another hunt to benefit the Harambee Gwassi Project so all hunt items cost a whopping $3L. It’s a really small price to pay for the goodies you can find.

When I started writing posts for our FREE to join Fabulously Free in SL group I was introduced to Telsiope’s Couture. Now I regularly visit the shop to check out new offers. I have never been disappointed with anything from the shop and commend the owners/designers for participating in fundraising hunts.

Lupi is her name and she is gorgeous! Doesn’t it scream spring? The texture is perfect for the season. Nice touches are the halter type spaghetti straps and the cut outs at the waist making it a flattering fit. Included is a hud with 16 different colors/textures so you can go crazy playing with it.
