Tea For One

Ahhhh.  A nice relaxing moment now that the hustle and bustle of Halloween has ended.  I always feel a little bit empty when coming down from a very busy month of free gifts, but that’s just my Second Life forcing me to relax a little, right?  It’s a nice time to snuggle up on the patio with a nice cup of tea and breathe the cool crisp air.

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop

Just because SL tries to force me to relax, doesn’t mean I will!  I’m still running around the grid looking for gifts, because, it’s what I love to do!  I found this gorgeous delicate embroidered floral bodysuit at [ADD] as a new group gift.  The group join is 20L and that will get you a bunch of other gifts on the wall too.  I’ll tell you a secret though, if you don’t have group space, you can find the Marion bodysuit on MP for just 1L!  Score!  The bodysuit comes sized for Maitreya/Petite, Legacy/Perky, Kupra and Reborn.

I paired the body suit with these thigh high laced up heels I won at Pure Poison!  She has 5 lucky chairs out for her group members, and one lucky chair exclusive to FabFree!  The Sonia sandals were on a Pure Poison group chair, and the best news is, her group is free to join.  These sandals come sized for Maitreya, Hourglass, Freya and Isis for those of you who love those bodies!

  • In the first look, I am wearing “Crystal”, the free FabFree gift at Coveted!. Crystal is a cute green dress with crosses and geometric patterns. I have spent a few days going back and forth to .Olive. for this sale, because there are just so many available at such a good price! I wanted to show you at least one more before it ends. This amazing hairstyle, called “the Purr Hair” is so cute! It includes the “Beta” colour-changing HUD and a kitty headband, which you can change to several colour texture options via an accessories HUD. You need to be in .Olive.‘s VIP group to get the hairstyles for 90% off, and their group is 50L to join for the duration of the sale. The creator told me that the sale is ending “sometime this week”, so this is likely your last chance to go and get the hairstyles for an amazing price. I only paid 38L for the new fatpacks on the lower floor (like this one). The fatpacks on the top floor are only 20L each.

The Fabulous Farmer’s Market!

My gentle readers…I’ve just returned from a week in Vegas.  It was for RL work, but STILL…Vegas!  I came back to SL to find all sorts of fun fabulous things including The Farmer’s Market!  To get these goodies, you go to each store and find the farm stand.  Everything is less than 80L.  This cute outfit named Kacey is by Amias.  This color cost 75L, but there are other colors at full price.  The necklace, adorably enough, is ALSO called Kacey (did they plan that?), and cost 65L at Michan.  There are several different metal choices, but each comes with a HUD for the gem.  The silver is pictured below.

I decided to take a break getting ready for a very small Thanksgiving tomorrow to take a mini-vacation on Second Life.  I found a cute little sim called Butter (you can see their blog here) and spend some time relaxing before I start my bread and pumpkin pie baking.  Of course, I needed some new clothes for my trip.  I found this cute Abella dress at the Y&M Store as a free group gift and the group is also free to join.

A Little Help From my Friends

Not much gets me so excited that I have to grab the person nearest to me and drag them on my adventures (sorry Aline).  But when someone uses the word ‘hunt’ when  we are chatting there is nothing to stop me racing off right away. There is something about having to track things down with no guarantee what you are going to get at the end of it that makes you tingle with that little bit of excitement. It’s a lot like a birthday that you have just worked really hard for and there is nothing more satisfying than being rewarded for a little bit of effort.
You have until the 29th February (thank you leap year) to get down there and grab all you want.

Poking about…

Leigh has a hunt on right now and there is more than enough to make multiple outfits, and mix and match till your heart is content.  There are fourteen items to find and you don’t have to walk miles to get to them either. To start, head over to Leigh and sit on the poster advertising the hunt and you are taken right to the clue giver.  An added bonus is the fact you are given images of the items so you can prioritize your targets. Two of the items are free (envelope items), the remaining ones are hidden in lipsticks around the room, they are 10 lindens each which is still quite a bargain! The store also has gifts for members and might well be worth a look, happy hunting!

We Can Live Beside The Ocean

There’s something you should know about me…my favorite place in SL (and quite possibly in RL too) is the beach. I love to explore and find pretty sims, and more often than not I end up at a beach. I’ll try to refrain myself and not post a steady stream of beach photos buuuut no promises. The beach that I found today is really lovely, although you’ll have to take my word for it because all I photographed was myself. I’m so vain, I probably think this blogpost is about me.

But it’s not! It’s about the bikini!

How cute is my itsy bitsy teenie weenie strawberry polka dot bikini? And when I say itsy bitsy, I’m not kidding. This thing is tiny, sexy, adorable, and you need it. And even better, it’s a free gift at Suga-Suga. No group join is even required! “Quit playing games” is a saying that kinda crops up now and then, and I’m sure it has a great many connotations, but quite frankly today I refuse to quit playing games.  I’m going to play ALL the games my little heart desires.  And as I play THIS game, I’m going to be as wacky and crazy as I possibly can.

I’m being a bit silly, I know, but when RL confronts you with constant seriousness, it’s all about finding ways to let the silly in.  For me, being silly involves wearing bright colours and donning cat ears.  I got my dose of bright colours in SL for free today by visiting the Secret Oktober booth at the Darkness Chamber Fair.  They have a lovely t-shirt dress called the “Cyber Dress” that caught my eye, as I totally love the combination of turquoise and purple.  Cute, right?
