I Got the Goods

Happy Monday Fab readers! I scooped up a couple of lucky board prizes and learned about a new-to-me store with several group gifts. Since I slept most of last week let’s get down to it.

The Dress

I hung out at Tastic by the Lucky Boards one morning and wasn’t disappointed one bit. A “C” came up several times so I got several prizes. One of them is my cute dress, Cady Rebel Glitter. It’s my favorite color – pink. It’s also shiny and wheeee it has polka dots! You do need to wear the free Tastic group tag to pick up the prizes. It’s very summery too.

My shoes/boots were one of the lucky chair prizes. The Anda boots come with an extensive texture change hud that lets you change 4 different parts of the boots.

The Hair and Nails

When I’m getting ready to log in to SL I see what’s posted Under the Blogger tab on the log in page. Today I saw a link to a video blog about a couple of new–to-me groups, MOWDOLS and Punklist. You can view the video here. When you join the free Mowdols group you can pick up all of the group gifts that include hair, makeup, nails, skins, and a few items of clothing.

Well, I scooped up most of them, of course. So today my hairstyle is one of the gifts. It’s the Saturn Ponytail. It’s a flexi hair that comes with a resizer. It includes a scrunchie and side whisps (note: The whisps do not resize.). All of the hair gifts come in black.

I also picked up another group gift. The super long Stonah nails are quite colorful. They’re sized for Kupra, Legacy, and Reborn. Hmm, looks like they would work well if you want to poke someone’s eyes out. What do you think?

Tuesday Take Me Away

Tuesday is a great day for sales! I got so excited that I decided to bring an empty suitcase so I could stow all my goodies in it. I found some great separates and poses. Let’s get down on it.

Did you know that there are free gifts at Wasabi? You can join the update/subscriber group for free. If you turn left you’ll see a small table with several gifts. Hit the subscriber sign above the gifts to join. One of the several gifts is the Midnight hair. It comes with the hat so you get perfect hat hair! Two sizes are included along with three generous color change huds.

Seeing as how today is Tuesday I hit a couple of the stores offering items for the Hello Tuesday sale. I found this super cute top from Adorsy for 0nly $50L. The Jackie top comes in black only. It does come with a hud to change the look of the bracelets. You can’t have enough black items because it goes with everything.

Loving the Polkas

Happy Sunday! Yes, it’s Sunday but I have a few things from Friday to tell you about. Specifically, I’m talking about Fifty Linden Friday and the FLF Birthday Bash. Aline has been gushing about all the great finds here and here. Allison joined in the fun too! Now it’s my turn. I have been a fan of the FLF sale for many years now; at least 14. There are so many gifts and bargains to collect so get going! As best as I know the regular FLF sales will end tonight at midnight. The FLF Birthday Bash continues through September 1st.

In the Pink Polka Dots

Tori Torricelli has this awesome outfit on sale this weekend. The Daphne outfit comes as separates (top & pants with addon belt). I saw pink polka dots and okay, I squeed. I don’t know when my affinity for those dots started. I think they invoke happy, fun times. There are a number of colors to choose from and you can even mix & match the tops and pants.

I love these pants with the high slits in the front. They’re probably one of the best inventions since sliced bread! And the top is pretty praise worthy also.

They Say it’s Your Birthday

The FLF Birthday Bash is in full swing. I bopped on over to the sim after I heard that Truth had a Collective hairstyle there. The Lonely hairstyle is uber cute and is a collaboration with FAGA. The hair is pulled back with a scrunchie. There are a number of options to change its’ texture. The hair is shoulder length with bangs on both sides. Each color set is on sale for $50L. And, imho, Lonely is a keeper!

When you’re off  exploring the wilds of Second Life you have to look comfy as well as cute. I might have to switch out to a pair of jungle boots instead of these sandals. Oh, and I need one of those cool helmets to protect my head. Yes, I know, I’m rambling on; I do have a point.

Carol’s Store doesn’t disappoint when it comes to group gifts. This slight flowery print dress is perfect. I can imagine the dress in a soft cotton knit fabric keeping me cool, casual, and comfy. I paired the dress with the latest group gift from Dead Doll, originally shown by Aline.

Time to Get Cheeky

Summer is for hanging out at the seashore or beach. Any place with a breeze will do. I’m a water baby so you’ll usually find me hanging around a beach, a river, or lake. Before I set out for some shore somewhere I did a bit of hunting. Cheeky Monkey has two hunts running. Today I have a couple of the prizes from the Cheeky Beach hunt currently running on the Cheeky Monkey Hunt Region. Each prize on the hunt costs either $1L & $10L. You’re looking for a small purple monkey. There is a central location where many of the prizes are. Many of the stores also have prizes.

This evening I’m wearing 2 of the hunt prizes from Blonde Queen. Both the halter top & shorts are part of the Marnie outfit. Additionally you can find a pair of red shorts, a blue top, and a light blue top. Each piece is $1L. It’s got a bit of a retro pin-up vibe to it. It’s a great outfit for a quiet stroll on the beach or even a game of volleyball!

Meet Me at the Playground

I want to play! I’m all dressed up in a new romper that makes me feel very playful. Hope I can find some fun playmates.

I’m wearing the latest Midnight Mania prize from Graffitiwear, the  Warm Flawless Romper outfit. When I got dressed I failed to notice the texture change hud. So this is the original color. The hud has a number of options from prints to solids. Along with the romper comes a nice pair of heels for mid feet and a belt. I like this electric blue color and pattern. I’ll be brighter than the sun on the beach today!

You’ll have to join the Graffitiwear store group to slap the MM board. There is a join fee of $25L. You’ll also have access to the Lucky Letter Board and a Lucky Dip. Hello?? My Shell Phone is Borkened!

This song was in my head when I dressed for the day. We bloggers are always looking for scenic places to shoot pics. So I thought, church. I set off to find a church. As I searched in the listings for church I found one on Hao Atoll. It’ a beautiful French Polynesian paradise and I highly recommend a visit.

Yesterday was the start of a new month as well as the start of a new round of SL Mesh Body event that started on August 1st. You need to join the free SL Mesh Body group to pick up the gifts. Many of the participating designers have discounts on their items. There is also a central room with gifts. The gorgeous Fergie dress I’m wearing today is the event gift from Jumo Originals and it free when you activate the group tag. This dress has classic styling lines with a beautiful texture.

I Shall Wear Purple & Shine!

Happy Monday! I won’t wait till I’m old to wear purple. I’ll wear it any time I like. I know we’ve all heard at least some part of the poem, “Warning”, by Jenny Joseph. It’s been a favorite of mine for some time now though I never knew its name. “Warning” begins with the words, “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.”. It ends with “But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised when suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.”

Practicing

Here’s the deal, Artic Storm, always has two free MM boards and a Lucky Letter board that don’t require a group to slap. The store also participates in a number of sales and hunts. There is always lots going on in the store. I went over the slapped the MM boards the other night and once the target was met the prize was delivered to me. Score! I can practice wearing purple. The Shine dress comes with a set of matching panties. This lovely & sexy purple dress will indeed have you shining as it comes with a diamond & shine overlay. As you can see it has a very deep neckline. What you don’t see in my picture are the hip high side slits or the open back of the dress. And, the price is just right to make you give up a few minutes of your time to visit the store.

I love following group chats in several of the freebie and discount groups I’m a member of. In one of those chats someone posted that there were free gifts at new to me store, Hexumbra.
You do need to hit the subscriber. The shop uses discord for customer service and store updates and doesn’t have a traditional group. After subscribing you can pick up the five group gifts above the subscriber button. I’m wearing the Tam Eye Makeup 5 today. It comes in a number of pretty shades.
