Hey hey Fabs!  I’m trying to mix up my Halloween posts between dark and gothic and fun and spooky as often as I can, because we love both parts of this holiday, don’t we?  Well, the opportunity presented itself with my fun new outfit, and of course, I found all the other accessories I needed for free at the Halloween Shop&Hop!

Charmed

First let us talk about this fun and colorful outfit.  It’s the newest gift free from ASO! for the Teleport Hub group.  Most of us are in this group year round, it’s only 10L and there’s a wealth of gifts on the grid you can bring home.  This outfit comes with the top and pants, which can be worn separately.  It’s only rigged for Legacy bodies though:

  • Legacy
  • Perky
  • Bombshell

I did try it on my Lara X and I can get the pants to work, I can even get the top to work, but I’d have to wear hair long enough to cover my back.   I wore the free Legacy body in my library for this post instead.

Still hopping!

Even with multiple bloggers at Fab Free, we’d never be able to cover all the gifts at the Halloween Shop&Hop but we aim to try our best!  Today I’m wearing 4 gifts I picked up there, completely free.

I know, Aline was just complaining about ice storms and wishing for spring, and I look like I’m jumping right ahead to summer!  I’m not ‘technically’ though, since my gorgeous new outfit is titled ‘Spring group gift’ but I’m diggin’ the tropical style and feel.  I didn’t even have to leave my own house to take this picture!

I’m no basic beach 😉

This is no basic dress!  This is the newest group gift from Flamingos, and it comes with the dress and the flower crown, and I’m just in love.  I love the tropical texture and the laces detail cinching in my waist.  Sometimes you find a gift and it just fits who you are as a person.  So here I am in all my glory, shrimp cocktail in hand, thankful.  This dress is rigged for:

I See Fire

I See Fire

This is no ordinary post, because this is no ordinary dragon!  You can have a dragon fren too, totes free!  Thank you to Yuna, in our Fab chat for turning me on to this gorgeous beast!

This is the Lucky Koi Dragon by [TJR].  He (or she) is completely free on Marketplace.  It’s a full fatpack and is has beautiful skin shades and eye colors and there’s even some rainbow on black and rainbow on white skins which are gorgeous.  This is animesh and you can move it around so it doesn’t take you out accidentally with it’s tail 😉  I love the long necklace it wears.

Most things I’m wearing today I picked up for free, my dress was 10L but that’s  still a steal.  I also picked this dress up on Marketplace, it’s made by Derelict Fashion.  It is completely clear from the chest down so you’re going to need some panties if you leave the house 😉  It comes in this black skull design and comes in loads of sizes:

My next freebies I found while I was out doing the Madpea Hunt.  I’ve explained before these hunts take you all over the grid and the store [GHB] makes a prize for the hunt and hosts hunt objects in the store.  I checked out the gift wall while I was there, and found these Wurzel earrings for Swallow Dropped ears and this Geheim Necklace too.  Both of these gifts are unisex and come rigged for male and female bodies.  The [GHB] group is free to join!

My last gift is my new leg tattoo from CIN/Ink.Apparel.  The group is only 19L to join and it has put out a new group gift each month for both male and female bodies since it rebranded.  I already can’t remember if it’s the February or March group gift so hurry if you want it 😉

Don’t you judge me now dear readers, I come from the land of crazy, where spring break is a culture.  Plus I’ve been to Mardi Gras a few times .. Cre can tell you, this is a perfectly normal sight.  Besides, it’s actually time to practice for both of these events.  Tops up everyone!

I loved, loved, loved this sweater I got recently at the Astrophe Hunt.  You all know I love everything silly and funny and original in a design and this had it all.  Plus, how adorable are these red teddy gauged earrings?  I picked up my whole outft at the Astrophe Hunt even, and it was all completely free.  This is an event put on by Black Lotus, and I was really excited we had the additional hunt to participate in.  Let’s talk about what I got:

I don’t think you even need the group to do this hunt, but I joined the free group anyway, because there’s a great event gift from MILA to pick up.  You’re looking for black signs with white neon symbols on them.  They aren’t the easiest to find, some are even upsidedown, but there are a lot of them, if you use all your hunting tips and skills you’ll come home with around 50 gifts!  There’s great shopping there too.

The Astrophe Event is open until February 25th, so you have plenty of time to get over there and hunt your heart out.

It’s that time again Fabbies, where we gather under the trees at the Anthem event, and look for all the low cost items we can add to our inventory for 25L-50L each!  Every year at the holidays the designers at Anthem will drop a present under the tree, and you can look through them all and pick the ones you want to buy.  None of them are over 50L and you can score quite some bargains!

For instance

This dress I brought home is a holiday rendition of a dress Pixicat has for sale at Anthem!  This is the Song dress and she oh, so pretty.  It comes in 3 holiday textures with a color hud to change the laces in the front and the back and is sized for:

  • Lara X/Petite X
  • Legacy/Perky
  • Reborn/Waifu

There are 2 trees at Anthem, so look under both and you’ll find it.  Purchase it for 50L and it’s yours to bring home.  Anthem is open until December 30th.

 

Tree trimming

One thing I miss about living in the Northeast U.S. is seeing people decorate the pine trees they have growing outside in their yards.  Now, here in Florida I had a fake lighted palm tree on my patio I would decorate, but it was with suncatchers, not quite the same. lol

Over at Mona, you can pick up this adorable Rudolph ornament in a few colors as a free group gift.  It’s located under the tree in the store with a few other gifts.  The Mona group is free to join, so this is free to bring home!   Clearly this season we Fab Free bloggers have a penchant for holding ornaments 😉

Welp here we are again Fabs, a whole new day with a whole new event stuffed full of free gifts.  It never ends, and you’ll never ever hear me complain! ♥

I popped over to the Reborn Event and BAM!  Gifts galore!  The Reborn Event is 3 years old and they’re celebrating with us.  You don’t even need a group to get these gifts, you just purchase each one for 0L-50L.  I would say about 2/3rds of the gifts are free and then other ones are between 5L-50L and most have pictures on the outside, so you can see what you’re getting before you buy them.  Nice.  I put some of my favorites together and came out with this purple hued sparkly outfit, and I can’t believe I blogged it before Aline…. that sparkle queen 😉   Here’s what I got:

  • Free Dress by Madison (sized for: Reborn/Waifu, Peach, BBL, Legacy/Bombshell, Kupra)
  • Free Nails by P.Y.T. (sized for: Reborn, Kupra, Legacy)

I remember when I used to think the Reborn Event was only for Reborn bodies, but I learned that’s not true long ago.  Many of the gifts and goodies are sized for other bodies, but I thought it was only right to put my Reborn on for this blog post 😉

The Reborn Event is open until November 7th, so you have some time, and a full week after Halloween if you’re too busy to go this month (I get that!)

P.S.  There are raffles upstairs for Reborn bodies and Lelutka heads, and no group is needed to enter those either!

Well, well, well, seems old Milton thought he could wash me into the abyss!  Well, I showed him (sort of lol).  He took me out for about 2 weeks, but I’m back, cuz you can’t keep a girl away from Halloween freebies if she’s determined!
To be honest though, I’ll never forgive him for taking me out of Second Life for 2 weeks of my favorite month of the year.  Yeah, I’m mad about it 😉   Took me a week to get power back and 10 days to get internet, and I don’t even want to talk about the amount of work (or expense) the clean up/repairs are. I am safe, and the house is standing, but there’s nothing like watching the news, and not just seeing the name of your town on the map, but the name of your actual neighborhood that’s about to take the impending doom.  Sheesh this guy Milton, doesn’t know how to take ‘NO’ for an answer.

Missing Out

I’ve been missing out on so many awesome free gifts, I surely want to make sure you’re not missing out either, so I’m going to blog some of my favorite things from events the other bloggers already told you about, as a reminder to get over there.  Today, I’ve got gifts from the 11th Anniversary of Kustom 9 (one of my fav events with or without gifts, and I think Aline said the same lol) I brought home all these fun items:

FabFree’s Annual Free(ish) Hair Roundup for 2024!

Well hello there, Fabbies!

It’s time again for our Annual Hair Roundup!  The bloggers have banded together (and even one of our group members!) to find the best free, and almost free hair that we could find.  We’ve put all the best styles in one spot for you so you can make sure you’ve got ’em all… or perhaps you know a new SL resident who needs to start padding their inventory?  Welp, it’s all here.

This year, we have over 150 hairstyles for you – but keep in mind, often there are more free gifts to pick up at each location.

Is this me, sitting on top of a hearse looking foxy?  Well, yes, it appears that way.  I’m always inspired by something, in this case, it’s the massive pile of free gifts over at The Warehouse Sale.

Favorite

I have 2 favorite shopping events in Second Life, and The Warehouse Sale is one of them.  I love the creativity there, and how unique the items are.  And when they’re celebrating an anniversary —- ooooooooo —- the gifts are just as good as the shopping!  Let’s talk about all the things I have to show you:

  • Free Shirt by Candy Kitten (sized for Maitreya/Petite/Legacy/Reborn with a Fatpack HUD)
  • Free Kitsune Ears by Tentacio (in black or white)
  • Free Bandaid by [TNK] (unrigged)
  • Free Ahoge (hair add on) by PADO (Fatpack HUD)

 

Clearly I fell in love with these Kitsune ears from Tentacio.  I love the crystal earrings too!  They looked especially cute with my PADO hairstyle, with the added ahoge on top.  In Animanga the ahoge is found on a lot of hairstyles, always an adorable little curl or loop sticking up from your head.  This one comes in 3 styles and with a full color hud so you can match it to any of your existing hairstyles.  Adorable.

Many of the gifts over at The Warehouse Sale are unisex, and some are specific to male bodies too, so this is an event everyone should hit up!  It’s open until September 18th, so there’s no rush, thankfully because it’s been packed full every hour of the day since it opened. lol

You do need to join the free group to get the gifts, and you can find them in the wooden crates next to each booth.  There’s also 4 additional gifts on the wall in the landing room you can pick up with your tag too 😉
