Well Fabs, I’m back, in all my peace, love and freeness!  I was so excited to watch this jacket in it’s WIP on Flickr and it was released as a free gift yesterday.  I’m such a Hitogata fangirl.

Simply groovy!

I talk all the time about how I’m actually an older soul of a 60s revolutionary in my younger RL body, I wasn’t alive during the “Make Love, Not War” revolution, but it seems we’re due for another.  You can see why this free gift was right up my alley for blogging though!

This is the Samui Hoodie from Hitogata and (hear me out) it’s only rigged for Legacy Perky.  That being said, it comes with an alpha, and here I am wearing it on my Lara X.  This gift is a dream for people who love to mod clothes, she’s included a kit to mod your own sayings on the sleeves, and graphics on the jacket.  It has a fatpack hud of solids and designs, and also has a tinting hud for 8 different parts of the jacket.  Did I mention it’s free? 😉   (Tips are appreciated tho!)

Once again I’ll warn you her gifts don’t always stay out for long, so I urge you to go get this as soon as you read it.  You can find it in the bunny on the top shelf, just buy it for 0L.

I’ve got another time sensitive post for you guys today, from the maker of the last time sensitive blog post I made 😉  It was Valentine’s Day yesterday, and to spread the love, Rica Andel of Hitogata put out a new free gift ♥  You can see my last post HERE.  The skirt is gone, but there’s a new version of the shirt available for free too.  Please leave a tip if you can 😉

Perked up!

Now, this gift is only rigged for Legacy and Legacy Perky.  (< Not true, keep reading lol) I bought a Maitreya Petite add on just so I could wear her designs.  I do have a bit of a gap between the dress and my skin though, and I would need to wear hair down my back to cover the alpha gap, but it’s wearable for me so squeeeee!  I tried first the Legacy size on my Lara X, and there’s some clipping in the breasts, one of these days I will learn how to make my own alphas or win a Legacy Perky. lol

Update!  The owner knows how much I love her gifts, and although she doesn’t have a Maitreya dev kit, she has a Lara X, so she fit it for the Lara X for me! ♥  Wow!  As if her designs weren’t already my favorite, she’s also one of my favorite humans.  The picture was taken in my Petite X, but now I can wear it on my Lara X and you can too, she’s updated the package to include the fitting!

Aaaaaaaaanyway look at this adorable dress.  Now, I’m a huge denim fan, and this dress is denim, but I felt compelled to wear the pink denim for my post since it’s a Valentine’s gift.  She also has the denim textures in the skirt I blogged before.  My favorite part are the cute little bloomer shorts that go underneath.  Gosh.  Adorable.

You can stop into her small shop on Missing Mile and pick this up free too.  It’s in the pink bunny on the top shelf, and the new version of the shirt is on the lower shelf.  As I mentioned above, there’s a little tip can on the floor to say thank you and spread the love. ♥  Hurry though, she takes her gifts down as soon as she finishes a new one, and she works fast 😉

FabFree Designer Features: Shapes for Everyone

Hey FabFree! In today’s FabFree Designer Features post, we are hopping over to Shapes for Everyone. Shapes for Everyone is a neat shop that sells shapes for a variety of mesh bodies and mesh heads. Each shape includes a detailed style card with information about what skins to wear with each shape, two shape options for different body types, and several eyebrow shapes. You get quite a lot in each item, and these shapes will be great for new residents and others to try if you are in need of a new shape or look.

Support Ukraine in Style!

Second Life is one of the most wonderful worlds in existence.  We can stand together and support our friends in the Ukraine while also loving our Russian friends who never asked their leaders to go to war.  I was so inspired by Cre’s post about supporting the Ukraine, that I quickly hopped onto Marketplace to see what else I could find.  Truly, there are hundreds of freebies out there to show our support for the Ukraine.  I can’t blog them all here, but do a quick search and you will have a closet full of items to show your support.  I found this beautiful FREE Eiko Dress Ukraine by E&E which comes with matching shoes.  I also found the FREE matching Ukraine lipstick by MAD, and a FREE 90s Necklace with a hud including two different peace signs by Melt.

A Little Bit of Indie

I like to give myself challenges.  I had a half hour over lunch to “work” in SL, and I committed myself to finding a cool outfit to share with you. For this challenge, I could rely on any of the 5 Minute or 1 Hour groups I belong to and any sales I ran into while at a store.  However, my cap was 100L for all parts of the outfit (clothes, hair, jewelry, and shoes).

Safyra‘s did not disappoint!  Within the first ten minutes, a 5 Lindens 1 Hour deal was posted.  I ran over quick and grabbed the very nice jumpsuit on sale.  She comes with lots of colors. But….while trying to dodge the incoming avatars, I looked around and three OTHER sales caught my eye.  The outfit above is the top from the Set 010 Sunday Sale (35L) which comes with a cute bra/shirt, skirt and boots (the bra, shirt, and skirt all have a color HUD; the boots do not) and the pants and shoes from the Janice set on sale (55L) which comes with a blouse and HUD for both.

I had picked up a bunch of No_Match gifts earlier in the day, so I decided to use my time to find the first hairstyle that went with the outfit.  This style is called No_Sea and comes with all of the different color fatpacks. This was a free group gift with 50L membership.

By the time I had picked out the hair and fussed with the colors, I only had 5 minutes left, so I ran over to my studio to snap this pose.

I managed to get everything I needed for less than 100L in the space of 30 minutes!  WOO!!!

So I’ve been laid up with a pulled back muscle which hindered me sharing this gem last week. After taking it super easy (lazy) over the weekend I’m good enough to move around with slight pains. How and WHY does my back need to give out when I need it the most? It’s one thing after another with me and I really disliked laying down on the floor to help my body not cause me pain.
