I found my Halloween costume, and just in time too! It seems like zombies and zombie hunters are everywhere this year, and for good reason. Like the vampires of years past, zombies have taken over television and movies in a big way. That said, when I saw this wicked bloody tank top from COCO, my mind instantly went to zombie land. Thankfully, Second Life is awash with creativity, and I was able to find most of what I needed to put this look together without letting go of too many lindens.
I mentioned the tank top as the centerpiece that inspired this “Infected Zombie Hunter” look. It’s one of several FREE group gifts available at COCO. Before I go into detail about the top, when going to the COCO store to add this to your wardrobe, be mindful of which section you’re shopping in. The COCO store is huge, and there are sections dedicated to their doll avatars as well as regular avatars. You’ll find a version of this top in both sections, so don’t get fooled like I did. Make sure you’re in the section with ladies clothing and not doll clothes. LOL That little bit of information out of the way, once you’re in the right place you’ll find a full wall of group gifts with a group joiner near by. The COCO group is FREE to join. Once you’re wearing your COCO group tag, all the gifts are FREE as well, just click the vendors. This bloody tank top gift is fully mesh, and comes in several body fit sizes, and standard mesh sizes.Anyone who knows me knows it would be completely out of character for me to go all gore and no glam, even on Halloween. I needed to be a little bloody but still wanted to keep it pretty, Izzie’s had just the thing. These bloody eyes and lips are from an applier package I found by Izzie’s for FREE on the Marketplace. The listing says it’s a limited time Halloween gift, so I’d imagine after today (Oct. 31st) the price will go up. These delicate blood drips can be applied either to the eyes, the lips, or both in 3 shades of red. This FREE set includes appliers for as well as classic system layers. I’m really thrilled with the end result, so don’t miss out on this fun bit of gore by Izzie’s while you can still get it at this fantastic freebie.
Speaking of the Marketplace, I also stumbled across this set of bloody eyes by Inkheart. These mesh eyes were just too perfect to pass up, especially since they are just 1 linden. These “vampire” eyes come in 3 mesh sizes, along with matching system layers. I think they would be spook-tacular with any ghoulish costume!
Continuing on with the idea of being glamorous at all times, this manicure from ZOZ was the perfect finishing touch. Who says a Zombie Hunter can’t have perfectly polished claws?! This particular shade of glossy red is part of the Fab Free exclusive group gift at ZOZ. For this post I have three items to share with you, a group gift dress from Blaraby, a group gift necklace from ECCO, and a pair of group gift shoes from Empire. This is one of those times when several gifts seem almost meant to go together. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! There are several group gifts to be had a Blaraby, but this “Bambi” dress really caught my eye. I love the style, and the color. You’ll also see a shelf full of previous gifts near by. The ECCO group has a one time join fee of 200 lindens.
Finally, I’m honestly never disappointed in the group gifts from Empire. September’s group gift is this laced up over the knee heel in two special colors. The gift includes a pair of shoes in red, and in purple to fit the bodies and feet for Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, and TMP. Also included with this group gift is a color change hud to adjust the color of the sole, and the metal parts of the shoes. There is a one time join fee for the Empire group of 499 lindens. However, the fee pays for it’s self in the form of an always stellar monthly gift.
Apparently, I am on a red kick. My last post featured the lovely red dress from More Than Ever and today I’ve got all kinds of ravishing red from Sweet Tea Couture. This is the ‘Buckhead Turtleneck’ sweater in red and it’s one of the Group Gifts for December. The sweater comes in both a male and female version. Hello Fabulous Friends! I’m back from a wonderful RL long weekend and ready to show you some new finds.

Today is a red day. Did I mention that red is a favorite color? My dress, Betty, is a group gift from Precious Designs(Free to join). It comes with a color change hud and is available in a rainbow of colors. I really like the details on this dress like the front & sides of the bodice with it’s little strips of fabric.

Just a quick post to show a few items from The Runway Perfect Hunt that started on April 1st and will end on April 30th. Each hunt item is priced at 5L and you are looking for a rectangular flat box that looks like this:
The first items I picked up were from AlaFolie, CHOP ZUEY COUTURE JEWELLRY and Vanity Hair. The AlaFolie gift dress is called TRALALA!! and comes in two versions…the one I am wearing is the orivoir (in gold) and the other is called noircitron (in black and citron). This is a non-mesh dress with a wonderful flouncy flexi skirt, gorgeous poppy flower attachments and a stunning lace trim detail on the skirt! This gorgeous long mesh hair is the hunt prize from Vanity Hair…named Spooky! This fabulously long hair has this ombre effect…starting out with a dark red at the roots and ending in a lovely pale tone at mid thigh.
My jewelry set is the Fenghuang set from CHOP ZUEY COUTURE JEWELLRY! Today was so beautiful, I decided to pack a bikini and head to the beach! I slipped on my LUAS TYENE WHITE Mesh Camisk/Dress (50L on the Marketplace), grabbed my Kakia Designs (NH) Signature Newport Bag (FREE on the Marketplace), and threw my lotion, glasses and little *CC* – Mesh Bikini – Gift Red (1L on the Marketplace), from *Chipmunk* Clothing Store, in it and headed out to Baja Norte. This adorable dress from LUAS is so versatile…you can wear it as is or you can wear the sheer version…it also comes with the beautiful chest ribbon, flower crown and two arm bracelets! The beach was packed with people, birds and other wildlife and it was hot…so I ducked into a building and changed into my *CC* little red bikini; so I could take a swim and cool off. I tucked my sundress into my FREEKakia Designs signature Newport Bag and took off for the surf!
I had a blast swimming, surfing, building sand castles and watching the pelicans in the surf. Good thing I did my nails this morning with my FREEFLAIR (no group join) Fingernail/Toenail Slink Appliers A/E …in Watermelon…they looked perfect with my dress and bikini!
