So some good news and bad news Fabs. The good news is that Beachy finally let me move into her boathouse! The bad news? She’s making me pay rent. I can’t squander this opportunity to live in a waterfront home though, so I’m doing all I can to make that bank. The job market ain’t pretty out there, but I was able to find something 😉

No Frills

I can’t say that I’m very good at my job, but I try. I get depressed daily though, these people expect so much from me! I only landed the job because I already had my own uniform, I got it free at SL22B Shop&Hop 😉 It’s from TwoSided and perfect for the job and you know, some other jobs out there on the grid. It comes in legacy and PBR textures and it’s rigged for:

I also fortunately found my feather duster and cap as part of a whole costume on Marketplace from Plausible Body. It’s a full costume, but I only needed these 2 pieces to get the job 😉 You can purchase it for 0L!

OK Fabs, I’m getting in all the posts I can about the gifts at SL22B Shop&Hop because inevitably, people will lament missing the gifts next week when it’s closed.  My aim is to not allow you to miss these superior gifts!

This is Sparta!

People seemed pretty excited the last time I blogged some armor, so I decided I’d do another fantasy outfit for you today.  I picked up everything I’m wearing totally free at the SL22B Shop&Hop, see what you’re missing if you don’t go?  Let’s talk about what I brought home:

This Sparta outfit by Praga is a complete outfit containing the cape, skirt, armor, sandals and spear (not shown).  It even comes with a color and metal hud.  I do love a good RP outfit that’s complete and free!  I was wondering how Beachy and I ended up doing two Greek Mythology inspired posts this week alone, and then I remembered the theme of SL22B “Myths and Legends”.  Finally, it all clicks.  Takes a guy a while sometimes, yanno? 😉

Goddess of love, beauty and desire you say?  Why yes, of course 😉  Although to be fair, I only fit into the category today because of these lovely free gifts from SL22B Shop&Hop!

Pandemos

Sometimes Aphrodite Pandemos was referred to as the goddess of persuasion, so let me persuade you to pick up these generous gifts, shall I?  Please read my whole post, there’s some details you’ll need to know before you shop.

The Poison Rouge gift at SL22B is a pretty purple and white dress, BUT she also has free 350L credit at SL22B Shop&Hop for her group members (and that’s not listed on our spreadsheet!)  Poison Rouge has also made her group temporarily free during the Shop&Hop but it will go back up to 150L when it’s over.  You’ll need to collect the credit at SL22B Shop&Hop but you need to spend it in the mainstore.  I bought this gorgeous Amore dress which I’ve had my eye on for a while, and this round it’s available to purchase with credit.  It was 299L per color, fully covered by my free credit.  I think it expires on the 23rd, but I can’t say for sure.

Add in a gorgeous floral crown and a pose set named Aphrodite and you absolutely feel like a goddess.  Remember the SL22B Shop&Hop ends on the 20th so you’ve got to finish it fast if you haven’t already!  Here’s our Fab Free spreadsheet to help!

Well I did a Christmas in July post last year, so why not this year too?  I’m so inspired to do one because Inara Pey wrote an article in her blog about Green Story going Winter for the foreseeable future, and it just so happens that one of the items I bought with free credit at the Shop&Hop is actually named ‘Santa’s Wish Lingerie’.

I was so stoked that {Red Blossom} was giving out credits as their free gift at SL22B Shop&Hop.  I had so much trouble deciding what to buy, I used some of my spreadsheet tips so I wouldn’t have to decide. Many thanks to those of you who have tipped! ♥  This adorable outfit I’m wearing today is the Santa’s Wish Lingerie and it’s fully covered by the 350L credit gift at SL22B Shop&Hop.  You can use the credit at the S&H location.  I bought the pink version, which comes with a color hud to change the trim and the pom poms.  It comes rigged for:

  • Lara X/Petite X
  • Legacy/Perky
  • Reborn/Waifu

I joined the {Red Blossom} group for free and brought home the matching Santa’s Wish Choker too.  She has it as a group gift at the SL22B Shop&Hop location so it’s a one stop shopping if you want 😉 (Although there are additional gifts at her mainstore).

Since I’m celebrating the winter, snow and everything cold, I brought some ice cream I bought with free 300L credit from Vizarte.  You can also use this credit in the SL22B Shop&Hop store.  This credit expires after 7/20 so you need to hurry and use it!  I bought this Bear a Bite Delight ice cream which allows me to change the color of the cup, spoon, ice cream, and sauce.  So adorable.

I’ve been trying to ensure I use as much of the credit as I can before SL22B ends, because I’m horrible at keeping track of expiration dates.  When a credit gift gives and exp. date in chat we add it to the Fab Free Spreadsheet, but sometimes there’s an expiration we’re not aware of.  Time for everyone to go shopping!

I’ll give Beachy credit for one thing, she sure knows her way around the wineries at Niagara-on-the-Lake. I’m not sure she can even count the number of wine tours she’s been on there in Canada, but that’s probably because of all the wine 😉

Wine tours range from casual to fancy, depending on the wineries you visit, and I didn’t want to be under dressed. Not to mention, who could wear this suit anywhere other than Canada at this time of year? OK, let’s face it, it’s even cooking in Canada right now, but they do keep these wineries at the perfect temperature.

My nice new suit was free, of course, because that’s the purpose of this post after all. I recently found out that GGVG has clothing for men! The selection is smaller, but I quickly ran back to the SL22B Shop&Hop and picked up that generous 500L gift card GGVG has there as a free gift and went shopping in the mainstore.

My suit comes with 2 pair of pants (regular and slim), 2 shirts (with and without tie), a vest and the jacket, and the whole thing costs 299L, so completely free with room to spare. The giftcard can be found at SL22B Shop&Hop and must be used in the mainstore. There’s a teleporter at the mainstore that will take you up to the men’s department where you can pick what you like. This suit come rigged for:

Remember last week when I said Beachy’s retirement plan could well be ‘3 hots and a cot’ (ie: jail)?  Well, I’ve got a better plan, and if she starts to behave herself I might just bring her along.  Living on a remote island away from everyone is a pretty good plan, I’d say, as long as we can find/grow food.  Well, I can fish, Beachy can garden, and maybe we’ll adopt a monkey who can climb the trees for coconuts.  Heck, if anyone has a small plane we can use for food runs, join us, maybe we’ll just make a little commune 😉

Surf’s up

I did find the perfect spot, an abandoned wrecked submarine over at Cannabia Beach.  Somebody has already made their home here, there’s surfboards outside and beds built inside, but nobody has returned to claim it.  I’m sure there’s a lesson here I need to learn but we’re just going to ignore it. 😉  Everything else I need, I picked up at the SL22B Shop&Hop, so let’s discuss!

I really wanted to blog this outfit from SL22B Shop&Hop because this designer needs way more attention.  I met Freda through a Shop&Hop originally, and I went and spent some good money at her store afterward.  Freda has some really well done original items in Second Life, and she’s not talked about enough!  They speak to the free spirit in me.  She has such fun textures and great designs.  I do hope you take a look around her S&H store and her mainstore.  Every time I wear clothing I purchased there, I get complements!  This outfit is her free gift at SL22B it comes in 2 colors (green/blue and red/purple) with these fun watercolor/tropical textures.  It rigged for:

I was looking for a new adventure. I decided to hike in the Everglades. In heels at that! I wouldn’t try this in RL because the Glades are filled with all manner of critters you’ll need to run away from. But all is well in SL where we can dress as inappropriately as we choose. Today I’ve got a few more SL22B gifts to show off.
