Well October is off to a killer start, no pun intended (maybe just a lil) 😉 There seem to be hunts and gifts galore already, and one I didn’t even expect, it’s the 1st Anniversary of the Wasteland Event!

The Wasteland Event is open until October 18th, and the group is free to join, so all of these freebies can come home with you. The gifts can be difficult to see, most are hanging from a chain and in a black box somewhere around the booth. Since everything is so dark, you have to look closely.

Hello Fabbies! Today I am bringing you more fun gifts from the BUNDLES Seasonal Autumn Event “Starry Nights of Fall”. There have already been two posts for this month about the event so be sure to go check them out here:
For my post I decided to go a little spooky. The glowing eyed Cat Totems in the back are a gift at the event from the LOVE Superstore. They are modify/transfer so I scattered them around in the background. They are also only 1 Li, which is awesome!
My dress is also a gift at the event from GGVG. I am wearing it in a lovely shade of pink, but the included HUD gives 10 color choices. The dress fits the following bodies:

Have you been to the creepy crawly Crypt Crawl Hunt? I went this morning and oh! It was a marvelous time! Things were hidden in the most delicious of places, places I might have hid them, and I do love playing hide and seek with other warped minds who think like me. Especially so when all the prizes are absolutely free!
The Library of the Damned….
Ok maybe not, but the thing that drove me there was wanting to find this amazing library skybox, because it was right up my alley. Just lock me away with lots of books and journals and pens and I may never ever want to come out. Dreamy…..
Where was I? Oh yes, the hunt, there are many merchants with goodies hidden, with lots of fun deceiving names too! This skybox is a freebie from Dragon Magick Wares and I love it. Oh but if you want to go inside you will have to change the object from a convex hull to a prim. I got bumped back out a couple of times before I sorted that out. Otherwise the spirits will not welcome you.
All items are 0L, no group required, just show up and have fun hunting, and be sure to search low *and* high. That’s the only advice I am giving you. You are searching for a lit candle and there are a lot of really fun creative hiding places. I have to say this is one of my favorite hunts because of that!
Now it only runs until the 6th so if you want to hunt, best hurry over!

Hey gang!
I’m back with some ghoulish delights of my own, found at the new style Arcade Event. The event has been updated from the old style gachas into a new system of its own, which has you grabbing a HUD as you enter, and which you wear while you shop. When you find a machine you want to play, you connect it to the machine. (don’t spend fifteen minutes trying to find it on the machines like I did at first, each machine is on a base and at the front of each base is two buttons, one to connect your HUD.)
Once you are connected, it will show you which item has been chosen for you to play for. If you want that item, you pay the machine (if you try to pay it without the HUD, it will refuse your money and send it back to you.), if not then disconnect and head to another machine. If you do play, you will get that item and the HUD will show you a new, random choice.
If you want to try again, you have to wait until the next day, as it will reset at midnight, and you can get new random numbers. If you try again that same day, you will get the same numbers. It’s kind of fun, really (and a bit addicting!).
So I lucked out on this play, the Mikunch machine where I got this cute dress (you choose the size you want to play for on certain machines), I chose Maitreya cause that’s what body I use. It comes with a HUD giving you a handful of color choices (black, white, red, pink). It’s only 75L a play.
This dress gave me sort of a “Bad Seed” sort of vibe, perfect for Halloween. She is just a sweet girl, right? Right?! Only time will tell!

If you head on over to Spooktacular, you can get spooky too! This is a new event running the entire month of October (the 31st, which is, of course, Halloween!) where you can find those brand new, handy dandy, nifty and fun, newfangled Next Up machines! Now, if you haven’t seen them yet, these are the replacements for many of the old Gachas. The machines look very similar, but each machine will show you a photo or a number of what prize is next, meaning if you choose to pay the machine at that moment, you will get the prize shown. If you *don’t* like the prize shown, or have your heart on something else, just give it some time and check back, once someone else plays, the numbers will move forward to reveal other prizes in the machine. So while gacha was a game of chance, these are more a game of timing. Both seem to include some element of luck. But here at Fab Free, we make our own luck cause we are stubborn girlies!
This costume I am wearing is from MOoH!, it is only 50L a play and they are Flat Skeleton Avatars! There are lots to choose from (see key below) and I am showing you the Devil one. It is a very weird feeling being flat! Kinda fun too, so give it a try. Since these are complete avatars, they fit *everyone*.

One of our readers contacted me with a tip. She said she found a place with lots of great deals and it would be perfect on Fab Free and gave me the LM. I thought awesome. We can always use more goodies for you guys and I happily went off to check it out. What an awesome treat this was going to be!
However…. all was not as it seemed! Little did I know that this was a trick.
I came to a cute little cottage and thought it must just be a little shop, but the door was locked, so I knocked, but once I did, this sign appeared! The door opened on it’s own and I was pulled inside a pitch dark room, I couldn’t see anything! I only felt cold, foul smelling breath on my neck and something strong had me in its grasp! A deep, gravely voice spoke, much too close to my ear for comfort. “Why have you come here?” I struggled to catch my breath and speak.
“I… I… I only…”
“Speak!” the voice shouted and I felt spittle hit my face in the dark and that foul breath again. I could feel something sharp against my skin.
I was shaking uncontrollably. I forced myself to speak, though barely a whisper came out. “Tr… tr…. trick, or…. orr…. tr”
“What did you say?” It shook me hard and the voice seemed to get angrier every time it spoke. I felt the blood draining from my limbs as the unknown entity held me ever tighter each time.
I knew there was one thing to do and one thing only, so I tried to take a deep a breath as I could, and said as loudly and forcefully as possible “I said… TRICK OR TREAT!”
I felt the ground under my feet start to crumble and I started to lose my footing, the creature was screaming as if in agony, I lost my balance and fell forward onto the broken ground. It was only then I realized the creature (or whatever it was!) had let go, and I ran for where the door had been, my hands fumbled against the wall in the darkness. I felt something thrashing behind me and the screams continuing, I thought surely someone must be able to hear all this noise! Please, please let someone hear and come help me! I was panicked, but I suddenly felt the knob of the door and pulled it open with all my might!
I ran back into the daylight, as fast as my legs could carry me! There were spiders on my face and I tried to brush them off as I ran, I felt scratches I had gotten from the struggle and something, what was it? Something black was oozing out of my mouth! How did that even get there??? What happened to me?!
In my confusion I wasn’t looking where I was running and I stepped off an embankment and lost my footing, I was falling! Autumn colors blurred past my eyes! There was nothing to catch, I was heading for the ground!
And then I woke up! Whew! I hate weird dreams like that!!!

Ah, sorry to say it does happen, bloggers do go bad. When the deadlines become too much, when your creativity has been squashed away by demanding designers and events…. sometimes a girl just *snaps* (or a guy!) and there goes poor Teddy, who never said a mean thing to her in his entire life…. it’s so sad….
Kidding! I’m kidding gang! No teddy bears were harmed in the writing of this blog post! That’s not really blood, its just ketchup!!!! And its just a rubber knife I am wielding! I couldn’t even cut a tag off a new dress with that thing!
It’s just me getting ready for my Halloween photos. I have to say, Halloween is my very favorite time of the year in second life. There are always haunted carnivals and zombies chasing you, and sometimes really grisly stuff that makes me squeal and squirm at my desk and I wonder what some people are actually thinking because it starts to borderline on just a wee bit *too* demented, you know? But all in all it’s a lot of fun and I love to dress up and take scary pictures for a month or so, if you want to see some of my old Halloween creations just check my Flickr, I will keep it tame (er!) on Fab Free of course, but in my other blogging world… bwahahaha!!!!! Look out!
However, I do have a reason for this post (don’t I always???), I’ve been continuing the treacherous Twisted Hunt and came up with this cute and slightly sinister outfit at Maya’s Meshy Stuff. The shirt has a little evil (also knife wielding) bunneh on it. It’s very INFP, the cute but can be scary thing, and I fully embrace it! This is as I said previously a totally free hunt (but you gotta work for stuff!) and the top and skirt were hidden separately. It’s a fun hunt to get you into that twisted spooky frame of mind for Halloween time.

Hi and welcome back to the blog Fab Free’rs! I’m here on this marvelous Monday with a quickie post featuring two of the more recent group gifts at Cureless. I think it’s always interesting to see what the designer at Cureless comes up with. The items are usually leaning toward the creepy side while still remaining cute. I picked up a set of eyes, and a set of cropped tops from the pile of currently available group gifts. Also there are 3 lucky letter chairs at Cureless directly across from the group gifts. At this time the Cureless group is 50 linden to join. The Eyes – The group gift eyes at Cureless definitely fall into the category of “creepy kawaii.” The set includes mesh eyes, and appliers that will work with Catwa or Omega compatible mesh eyes. These spooky eyes all have a pale blue iris, and different pupil options. My favorites are the star shaped pupil and the cat-eye shaped pupil. You can also mix and match them like Pru has done.
