I just don’t want to go home right now

I don't want to go home right nowIt’s weird to think that FabFree and I are pretty much the same age; the blog is only like 2 months older. No wonder it feels like I’ve been reading FabFree my whole SLife. I probably have been! FabFree’s 15th birthday party rolls on, and I got all of the clothing (including shoes!) that I’m wearing today from the FabFree @ Fifteen event ! If you haven’t had a look at the tremendous list of free and discounted items here, than you are truly missing out. Luckily you’ve still got a couple of weeks to take it all in. I just loved how great these went together for a cute and casual look to wear around the grid. Here’s what I’m wearing, from top to bottom:

Top

The top is by Glitter and it’s free. Do I need to say more? Certainly not but that typically never stops me. It comes in a HUD of “strong colors” so like your dark greens and blues and reds. Such a casual, fun, and easy to wear style. Perfect over a perfect pair of jeans. Don’t worry, we’ll get to those next! Sizes:

Middle

Yes, the jeans. These are one of those great pairs to throw on when you need something to wear and you know they’ll look fabulous. They are 499L from rainnn for FabFree @ Fifteen and really just so versatile and well made. Included is a HUD full of denim colors and sizes for Legacy and Maitreya.

Bottom

Yes friends, we’ve reached the feet. My flip flops are by rainnn as well. It’s the stipes pack and are rainnn‘s 15L item for the event. I don’t think there is any way I could have possibly rounded out this outfit better than with some cute flip flips. The stripes pack includes 11 stripy patterns in a HUD and these sizes:

Happy Friday! I have some exciting skin news for you today. The free gift for September is out a day early at 7 Deadly Skins! And she’s preeeeeetty, as is always the case with 7DS skins.

Mellia

7 Deadly Skins is a great group to be in because we get free group gifts every month (for both guys and girls) as well as info on all of the great sales and promos that they are always having. This is a paid group, but right now it is only 25L to join! I forget what it usually is, I just know that it’s cheaper right now but just for the rest of this month – so I’m assuming that means today only. I’m wearing Mellia, the free September group gift. It comes with Omega appliers in 4 skin tones.

City Heat

My outfit is by Dark Water Designs. It is 10L at The Wash during the Cart Sale. There are a few other patterns available but I am wearing teal paisley today. The top and skirt are separate pieces and each comes sized for:

The skirt is a tight little mini. You can just see where it ends at the edge of my weirdly cropped photo. There is less than a week left of the cart sale, and lots of bargains to be had. You don’t want to miss this!

I'll hold on to what I'm missing the most

Ahhhh can’t you just feel the sea breeze on your face and smell that salt in the air? Those are definitely some of my favorite things, but I’ll try to focus because I have exciting things to tell you about!

Today is a big day. Let me count the ways:

  1. Two posts in one day! But maybe not really because I did the one from this morning last night. Still counts though.
  2. On this day, 3 months ago, I did my first post for FabFree! Can you believe that you’ve been putting up with me for three whole months already? Yeah, me neither.
  3. The Cart Sale starts today!  If you’re not familiar with this sale, it’s pretty simple. Just tp over to The Wash and you’ll see lots of carts lining the road, full of wonderful offerings. There’s clothes, furniture, decor, and so on…a nice little mix of everything. There are great designers selling things for 10L each, with some freebies sprinked in as well. What’s not to love?

My Favorite Flower

Tulips are my favorite flower. They are so pretty and happy and springy, I just love them. They were even my wedding flowers (RL not SL…I’ve never had a wedding in SL but that’s a story for a different day). So when I saw the lovely tulip pattern on this great maxi dress from baci, I knew right away that it would be my first post for The Cart Sale! It comes in these sizes:

I think I’ve mentioned that I love to explore and find beautiful sims in Second Life. Well, a few days ago I discovered this sim that I had never been to before. It is sooooo pretty that I won’t even try and describe it, just use my link at the bottom there and go check it out if you’ve never been. Obviously, upon finding such a gorgeous place, I immediately put on a flowy dress and took pictures of myself. That’s a normal reaction, right?

Lovely Lace

This dress is by MOoH! and I’m in love. It is short with bare shoulders but has long, loose sleeves – a perfect contrast. The lace is amazing and there is a HUD so you can pick a different soft, pastel shade if you prefer. I went with simple white and I’m very pleased with the look. This is MOoH!’s latest free gift for the Teleport Hub group, which is 10L to join. It comes in a plethora of sizes. We’re talking:

They’re super cute and it’s a fatpack full of colors. It is a free group gift from Chic & Shoes. They come sized for Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Physique. To get them I just had to join the free group and click on the vendor. It is upstairs on the second level of the store, in the middle of the room.
