It’s February, in case you all haven’t noticed the plethora of red, pink and heart shaped things that have been slowly making their appearance all over the grid.  I am not averse to a bit of red now and then, as it reminds me of those little cinnamon hearts you would get back from friends at school.  They would burn on your tongue appealingly as you clawed your way out from under the mound of little cards that appeared on your desk!

A Contradiction

A Contradiction

Sometimes I feel like a good contradiction in terms is just what I need.  Maybe something like “he gave her another first kiss” – or maybe something slightly less thought-provoking, like pairing a puffer jacket with a cocktail dress.  I’ve always enjoyed mixing it up just a little to incite conversation!

Bow Down

Queenz has a really awesome group gift out this month – and it’s this gorgeous dress.  I wore it during my wanderings in SL, and got quite a few compliments.  The strap coils up and about your neck in a very pleasing way, making things visually interesting.  It comes with an HUD to change to five different colours (I went with a dark purple) and is completely free!  I just joined the Queenz group for FREE and clicked on the vendor.  There are a whole bunch of other cool gifts there too, so make sure you grab them all!

Candy Buttons

There will be days when you want to give up. There will be days where you want to stay in bed and hide.  And then, there will be days when the world tastes sweet, sweet as those little sugar dots you used to buy back in the day. I think they were called Candy Buttons.  You know – the little dots on white paper that you could peel off and eat?  I used to love those things, mostly because they were hard to find.  I found a dress, however, that reminds me of all the sweet treats and happy days of our youths!

Mini Hunt Alert!

How much do you love this sweet polka dot dress from Tatiko?  I absolutely adore the mesh panels on the sides, and of course the multicoloured polka dots that remind me of Candy Buttons.  I got the dress for 1L instore at Tatiko, as they’re having a mini hunt for spring!  Walk around the store looking for the potted plants (there are 5 of them) and buy the ones that you love for 1L.  There’s a poster up above the front desk showing what each one contains so you can shop around a bit!

You Can Never Have too Much Hair

Beusy currently have the hairstyle I’m showing off as a free group gift!  The “Lilac” hairstyle features two short braids that I think will come in super handy during the warm summer weather I’m sure will make an appearance soon!  This hairstyle features loads of natural colour options, as well as the possibility of removing the bangs and adding some wisps of hair.  You can grab your own by joining the group for free!  Yay!

A Hunting We Will Go

When Easter falls early in the year, I get a bit let down to tell you the truth.  In my part of the world, it’s still all grey and slushy and I’m surrounded by general grossness.  When you think of Easter, you think of blossoms dripping from the trees, and being able to go out without a toque and mukluks (ha!).  However, I’m in chillsville.  In SL, however, I’ve come over all rosy and have found a cute little sweater and knickers combo that is great for lounging about while waiting for the Easter bunny to visit!
