Vampire, vixen, vicious, and visceral, she was born to die. Like the movie title, Death Becomes Her. The Kendra group gift set at Furtacor is perfect for some vampy roleplay or lifestyle if you prefer. The stereotypical red and black theme is actually very well done in my opinion. One of the things I like the most about Second Life is the ability to change your appearance at will. Today I was feeling a little bit more sinister, a little more goth than usual. Thankfully I’ve come across a few items that let me show off that darker side without breaking the bank. Now I get to share them with you!
It all started with this fun little “in store” hunt going on at FormaNails. I say “in store” but really, all the hunt objects are hidden outside on the grounds surrounding the store. Before I get into the hunt prize, I want to tell you a little about the hunt its self. I really enjoyed this one. Outside the FormaNails main shop you’ll see a small display where you can get a FREE hud. This hud needs to be worn with permissions granted to complete the hunt. There are 10 hidden objects to be found throughout the grounds. The hud I mentioned keeps track of which items you have found and which ones you’re still hunting for. Cool, huh?! The objects themselves will teleport to a new location once they’ve been “found”. So you may come across the same object a second time. Once the hud shows you’ve found all 10 objects, you return to the display outside the main store and click inside the phone booth. Then the folder with the hunt prize will be delivered to you. I have to say, what made this hunt so fun is that the grounds are really whimsical and interesting to explore. There are lots of imaginative things to do and see, I even bungee jumped while hunting!
The FormaNailsFREE hunt gift is a set of bejeweled brass knuckles. The detailed set is unisex in that it includes a male and a female version, also both sets come in gold, and in silver. The female version is set with little rubies and pearls, while the male set has iron crosses and skulls. The knuckles are worn on one hand, and are able to be sized via touch menu. Though the knuckles did not appear to have been made to fit a specific set of hands, I was able to adjust them to suit my Maitreya Lara hands with some re-sizing and some manual re-positioning. After seeing the knuckles from FormaNails, knew I wanted to do something a little bit goth and perhaps playful, then I saw one of the gifts from a shop called This is Wrong and knew exactly the look I was going for.
This lace neck corset by This is Wrong is really beautiful on. It comes in 3 colors for the boning, black, green, and red, each with black lace. Hello Fab Free’rs! I’m feeling very Morticia Addams in this awesome dress from MoDanna, and I love it! This black leather gown is low in the front, low in the back and fits like a glove.
