There’s only so much we can say about the amazement of the 12 Days of Christmas event every year, and every year we say it all. It’s AH-Mazing, and glorious and generous and provides everyone on the grid with the makeover of their choosing and I dig that! Of course, I haven’t had time to play with my beautiful new head yet, but I did find the time to unpack and try on most other things, and I love them all. I quickly decided on the ones that suited my personality the most to blog.
No, I will not pare it down
I actually ran into Allison collecting a gift from a hair store (go figure) and she was so excited to blog it, and here I was just gushing over this adorable and free hood and scarf from Pare. This is one of my favorite stores, they have such great street style, but with all the fun and comfort too. The Danel Osote Scarf is unisex and comes rigged for male and female heads, in 2 rigs each, and also an unrigged version if you want to move it around to fit a hairstyle underneath. It’s a full fatpack of colors, and you can even turn the snow layer on or off. It’s totally my vibe!
I didn’t need to use the unrigged version, because I was able to use another free gift from 12 Days, from Tableau Vivant. Now this Emma gift was actually meant to go with another gift we received, but I used it with the scarf instead. It’s just a bunch of hair whisps to use under hoodies, which we all need, especially at this time of year. The gift comes with hairbases in 4 colors, a color hud for the hair whisps to match, and 3 different styles of whisps to choose from. It’s unrigged, so you can move it around wherever you want to fit the hoodie you’re wearing.

The other gifts I’m showing you today are both shiny! First, my free earrings from VOBE. I really did try my best to give you a picture where you could see everything closely but the earrings are a little hidden. (Did you know if you click on this blog pic, it will take you to the picture on FLICKR and then you can zoom in?) They are beautiful Auren earrings, with snowflakes at the base and earrings all the way up the ear. It comes with a full metal and gem hud and are rigged for EvoX heads.
Last, but not least, is my make up. I found this store LEONIN, back during PRIDE month, when she had the most gorgeous metallic rainbow shine lipsticks in a weekend sale. I was so excited when I unpacked this make up to see it was similar, but in lighter colors! Gorgeous metallic shades of taupe through pink, and you can even see a little rainbow shine, especially on my top lip. This is a gorgeous set. The eyeshadows and the lipsticks both come as an applier hud, with 4 shades each, and yes, of course it’s free!
The 12 Days of Christmas lasts …. well, for 12 days. It started on the 15th, which means these gifts should be available until the 27th. (It was brought to my attention the Lelutka FB page says through noon on the 26th). Each gift requires you to be in the group, but each group is free to join for the duration of the event. Anytime you’re on SL for the next 4 days, please make sure all your friends have gotten these gifts, because they’ll be sad once they’re gone!

As a side note, this is my first time even trying on LaraX. and I love her. There’s that old familiarity with enough improvements to make it worthwhile. The only downside that I see right off the bat is needing clothes rigged for the specific body, but for now I’ve scaled my boobs back to pretty my nothing to make them fit in a top rigged for Lara and just went with it. What other changes have I got going on?
