*Welp, as it often happens, the gift dress is now gone. I’m sorry Fabbies, I’m going to chalk it up to demand from the blog post!*

I knew the minute I saw this umbrella gift in the Fab Free group gift listing that I would use it in a blog post, and that day has come!

Fantasyland

Here’s a post full of fun, fantasy, bows and dreams. First, let’s talk about my sweet, frilly dress. I popped over to the Vogue event to see what was on offer, and ran into this adorable gift in the [Xprs] booth. It’s a group gift for the Vogue Event, which is free to join. It comes in black with a hud to change the colors of the bows, and how I love all the bows. It comes sized for:

I knew this would be the right dress to wear when showing you my new umbrella, and let me tell you, it’s even cuter than you see in this photo. My flower umbrella is the newest Fab Free group gift from Goodvibes. It’s shaped like a flower, has some leaves on the handle, but it also has 2 adorable birds on top, how cute! Once you add the umbrella, click it to choose the position you want to hold it in and you’re all set. Just activate your Fab Free tag, stop into GoodVibes and take it home with you for free.

Carry Your Candle

Today’s outfit is a gift from the latest round of Vogue. There are a fair number of gifts to be found. You will have to join the Vogue group for free to pick up the gifts at the event. The Vogue event runs until November 25th and is rated as an Adult event. This means you have time to go and check out the selections and grab those gifts!

Resurrection has provided this stunning black dress as a gift. The Eivor dress is the little black dress we all should have. It’s sleeveless (I added a BOM tattoo from Carol G). and is like a tube dress. The details in the on the dress are very detailed. And you can’t go wrong with black. The only faux-pas is wearing one to a wedding.

This post is also a tribute to a long time friend in SL, Vinnie (Acoustic Rhapsody). Vinnie was a very talented musician, singer, and songwriter in both SL & RL. Sadly he passed away this past Friday after a brief illness. I’ll leave you with an excerpt from one of his closing songs.

Hey Fabs! I’ve been on my tour around SL shopping events and I came home with a few free gifts to tell you about. It’s not an anniversary round or anything, just some random gifts that are out at the Vogue Event. Fortunately, too, the booths for these gifts are right near each other to make it easy on you 😉 Although I wouldn’t just pop in and out, there’s some other gifts there I wasn’t able to show you, so take your time and roam.

Spicy

The first gift I wanted to show you is this hot little number I’m wearing, the Joanna dress by Spicy Girl. We make a point of mentioning clothes when they’re modest, so I’ll make it a point to mention this girl is S-E-X-Y, I definitely feel ready for a night time pool party. It comes with a full color hud to change the color of the dress and the trim and comes in these sizes:

I wore my Reborn body for this blog post, even though the dress came in Lara X, because my next gift does not … lol. I picked up a set of mesh nails at the [Morning Star] booth, and they’re adorable. I really wanted to wear them to show you. They have a fully customizable hud, you can change the polish on each finger, and the polish comes in various choices of plain or designs in hot pink and teal colors. I am keeping a small collection of Reborn items so these nails will go straight into that folder. This gift is free, but it requires the Vogue Event group, which is free to join.

The Vogue Event is open until September 25th, still some time to head over and see what you can find.

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This

Okay, I know what you’re thinking – “Really, Allison? Another mini dress? And is that…a potato?” And I say to you friends, it’s all a matter of perspective.

Grate Inspiration

First, the dress. This dress is so fun. It’s like I lost a fight with a cheese grater, in the very best way. There are a million tight minis in SL and I just love finding one that sets itself apart from the rest. This one is extra eye catching because the pattern of hole cut outs continues on the back to really show off your assets. All I’m saying is that you might want to bring a jacket. I picked it up at the Vogue event. The event group is free to join and the dress is a free event group gift at the Melody booth. It includes a HUD which provides a fatpack of color options and these sizes:

Positive Potato

Additionally, I am carrying around a potato making positive affirmations. How’s that for a sentence you don’t get to say every day? I didn’t even know I needed this in my slife but oh yes it turns out that I do. Even better. if you’re not feeling positive potato vibes then you can get something else. That’s because Aardvark is giving away a 125L giftcard for free to group members. Aardvark is such a fun store to explore and I found lots of things I could get for free with my giftcard, One such thing is these potatoes, complete with hand hold, hug, and decor options. The group is free to join and the free giftcard is available near the landing point until February 14th.
