Is that what WIP stands for, in the context of the WIP Event? I’m not really sure. Probably not, but that’s what WIP means to me so we’re going with it. Not super fitting though, since this look is about as polished as you can get.

A new round of WIP has opened and there is a free gift to be had. Just head up the stairs from the landing point (unless my slurl takes you there directly, that would be pretty cool huh) and you’ll see a vendor image of this lovely gown. There’s a sign just below to join the subscribo and once you do that the gift will be delivered to you. Pro tip, you have to click the bottom portion of the sign to join. Don’t stand there clicking away at the middle, tp out and back in again, and even relog because nothing is happening. Just click the bottom part of the sign. Sigh. The free gift includes the pink, sparkly, sexy gown that I’m wearing, as well as the jewelry. It’s this necklace and also some great dangly earring that I swear I was wearing but it turns out that I’m not wearing them. Sigh again. Not my night. At least I’m dressed well.

My Worst Distraction

My Worst Distraction
I was so excited to tell you that a new round of the WIP Event has opened and it’s their 2nd anniversary but Aline did it before I could. SO many free gifts! To be fair, I was probably distracted by my little orrery. Some things can’t be helped. So you already know that WIP is opened, that you need to join the free WIP Event group, and that there are free gifts for said group at pretty much every booth there.

Here are the things I’m showing today, all available for free at WIP:

  • The lovely little solar system that I’m looking at intently is the free gift from Vulnus. It attaches to your finger with the hand pose and rotates quite distractingly, in the most pleasing of ways.
  • Graceful Curves is gifting the cute little heart tattoo below my left eye for free, in a BOM layer for EvoX.
  • My lipstick is free from Knife Party in this shade and another just as bold and fetching, both also on BOM layers for EvoX.
  • I absolutely love this top that Anastyle has out free at the event, and it comes sized for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya. So cute!
  • And last but not least, I thought this fun little sunflower skirt complimented the top well and Baboom is giving it out for free at their booth, sized for Legacy and Maitreya.

I know, it’s a lot! And I’m not even scratching the surface. The event runs from August 2nd till the 22nd. Have fun!

Hey Hey FabFree! Today ( or tonight as it pretty late here…) I am whole heartedly celebrating the FREE in the Fabulously Free name. I’ve got my entire outfit here for FREE. The top… the skirt… even my shoes. And all I had to do was join the WIB Event group, also for free.

I do love big events with tons of free gifts and WIP certainly fits the mold. Tons of great shopping, tons of great free gifts = tons of fun, right? So lets get to the goodies.

Starting at the top is my lovely headband from Azul. Adorned with pale pink lilies and a falling petal, it fits with my new dress like it was made for it.

Speaking of my new sundress, this is ‘Sweet Spring’ from 1Hundred. Anytime I see 1Hundred has a gift out, I know it’s going to be a good one. And I am not disappointed with Sweet Spring. I love the soft watercolor vintage roses on the fabric. Make me think sunny Summery thoughts.

The Problem with Modern Art

Time to do a bit of random wandering by myself today.  Some days I just need a bit of peace and quiet so that I can face the onslaught of humans who generally clamour for my attention.  So, off to an art gallery I go to ponder over the meaning of modern art.  Full disclosure, I am not a modern art kind of gal.  I’m all about the Botticellis and Waterhouses of the world, but sometimes…I head towards the modern art section if I need a giggle.  I’m sorry to all the aficionados out there, but I can’t keep a straight face when someone puts a chain link fence in a museum and tells me I need to seek it’s deeper meaning.  But…I will have a private chuckle.  😉
