We witch you a Merry Christmas, we witch you a Merry Christmas ……… oh, that’s not how that goes huh?  To be fair, I do love to change the lyrics of songs on a whim, because, why not?  And clearly I’m not the only one, because my post title is also a song title and isn’t it perfect?

I really, really wanted to blog this hat, which was a free gift from Octubre at Frost-E Fest. (Which runs until December 31st, so you have time!)  I love it so, the way it’s covered in snow, and the lights wrapped around and hanging down off the brim.  The snow, and the big beautiful ribbon and bow are difficult to see in the picture but they’re lovely.  There’s a color hud with a bunch of choices for the bow too! No group is required to get this free gift, just buy for 0L and go about your shopping!

The socks I’m wearing are also a free gift at Frost-F Fest, from [LeiMotiv].  They come wrapped in little holiday ornament garters too!  A nice color hud to change the base color and the snowflake color and the ornaments and strings, and ALSO sized for both regular thighs and Maze soft thighs. Again, just buy these for 0L and they’re yours!  They come sized for:

I knew it was finally time I’d be able to make this blog post, because I went to La Maldita Bruja to look at an adorable snowball outfit she released, to find this great free gift on the wall.  She put together a gift of a shape for the Noel head, along with some body mods like face and body freckles and veins, and also included this adorable outfit in black and the witchy pattern.  This gift is completely free, no group is required, just buy for 0L! (Do check out her snowball outfit next to it, it’s adorable).  This outfit included is sized for:

I’ll also mention this pose, I got it on the advent calendar at Veles.  Each gift is free on the day, but they put them for sale if you missed one.  This pose is called Snowflake by Krature, and you can now find it for 35L on Day 10 of the calendar.  The holdable snowflake is tintable for the perfect match in your picture.

Magick Witch

Magick Witch

It’s time to start counting down the days ’till Halloween! Autumn and Halloween are my favourite times of the year, so I thought why not create some witchy looks a bit early this year? I’m never quite in-synch with what’s going on around me, but in SL you can be whatever you want whenever you want, right?

This Witchy Look

My look today is made up using three wonderful finds from the Marketplace:

  • The gorgeous dress comes in a “dark” and “light” style, and it is 1L from Witch in a Box on the Marketplace. It fits Legacy, Lara, Freya, Kupra and Reborn.
  • The great shoes come in a full fatpack of colours from Buxom, and only cost 1L on the Marketplace. They fit Legacy, Maitreya, Reborn, Kupra and Erika.
  • My chest and face tattoos are 10L from ONYX on the Marketplace. This is a BOM tattoo fitted for Lelutka EvoX heads. It’s gorgeous and you can see a detail of the tattoo below. The moon on the forehead comes in multiple versions of different lunar cycles.

The fall season is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean I can’t show all things spooky and witchy on the blog. In fact, when I was a FabFree reader, I loved when Pru showed us all of her amazing witchy outfits throughout the year. They were deffinitely an inspiration for me. It’s Not Easy Being Green

Following the end of Halloween at the beggining of November, I was roaming around the grid in this gorgeous green witch skin. Feeling a bit forlorn that the Halloween season was over and designing my costume for next year, I went shopping and exploring in my new green look. I thought I looked cute but you wouldn’t believe the mean comments I got from people about my bright green skin! I guess it’s just not easy being green.

Another Hunt Down

Third on today’s list are the last goodies I have to share with you all on the FabFree Fallen Leaves & Frost Hunt. The prizes shown in my witchy scene this afternoon are:

Grotesque

Grotesque

Much like the macabre, though a little less romantic, grotesques have been part of art and architecture for centuries. It’s a theme I’ve always romanticized myself, that concept of finding beauty in that which would otherwise be called ugly. Now, before I get too melancholy in my musings I’ve got some pretties to share with you, one of which is this face tattoo by Nar Mattaru that reads “Grotesque” under my right eye. Alongside my finds at Nar Mattaru, I picked up some group gifts from rotten, and torment via Harajuku. Keep reading and I’ll give you all the what and how of things.

Nar Mattaru

Nar Mattaru has a handful of 10 linden offers in the same spot as their group gifts. These 10 linden finds do not require a group tag to purchase. I picked up the face tattoo that says “Grotesque” under the right eye, and has an almost cute little fly under the left eye. The tattoo comes in BOM layers, and an Omega applier with fresh, normal, and faded options.

Also at Nar Mattaru is this smudgy black eye makeup. This eye shadow look is called the “Effortless Smoky Eye” it too is just 10 linden. The grunge-rock princess part of my personality just couldn’t pass this one up. This eye-makeup comes in a BOM layer, and an Omega applier.

I am kind of in love with this lip gloss from rotten. It’s their current group gift, and the group is free to join. I love when I come across amazing makeup finds. Makeup is my favorite way to customize my look without changing my skin. This free lippie set by rotten includes 6 color choices, each with 4 style/opacity variations. In the package you’ll get BOM layers only. Technically these lip colors were made to be worn on Genus heads, but I think they look fantastic on my Catwa head.

If you head over to the Harajuku event you can pick up these gorgeous earrings for free from torment. They are waiting at the torment booth at the Harajuku event. If I’m being accused of enjoying the freebies I picked up at The Jail event, guilty as charged! I know I know, I already did a post about the event, and the fact that they’re having an anniversary. I just couldn’t help sharing a few more of the fantastic gifts. Immortuos 

The chest tattoo I’m wearing is the free Jail event gift by Immortuos. It reads “guilty” and I find it dark, a little bit cheeky, and really well done. It also comes in “irritation” levels which gives it some added detail that most lettering tattoos. The irritation shows as the redness around a freshly inked tattoo or perhaps skin irritation around the letters for some other reason.

Dark Love

Finally, the planchette and hold pose used for this photo is part of the free gift by Dark Love at The Jail event. The gift includes 4 planchettes, each with a different hold pose. Beldam Haunt

Beldam Haunt

It’s rare for me to envision something and then have the ability to manifest what I see in my mind with the tools at my disposal. Death Row Designs and Roawenwood gifted me the ability to really create the sort of diabolical yet romantic scene I had floating around in my imagination. So if this reads like a heartfelt thank you, it’s exactly that. I’ll always be inspired by and grateful for designers who give gifts that are beautifully detailed and thoughtfully made.

Death Row Designs 

I’ve always enjoyed the juxtaposition of the beautiful with the horrific. It’s easy to believe something ugly is sinister, but what of something or someone truly stunning? I find it thrilling in story telling to consider that under a lovely façade lies something malevolent. Death Row Designs often embodies this motif, gorgeous “ruined” things. They have three such things as their free October group gifts, and a fourth group gift that I didn’t show in my photo but is in the vendor ad below. There’s a broken and blood-drenched china tea set, a beautiful set of fall décor that includes a shelf with tchotchke and a silver mirror, and lastly a haunting wall lantern hanging from the fingers of a devilish outstretched arm. I’ve always felt that Roawenwood often has an inkling of darkness to their furnishings. Nothing too wicked, but just dark enough to be alluring. They have a lovely macabre chair and foot-stool set complete with a display ouija board, and drippy candle with darkly romantic red roses and human skull. The furniture itself has a deep purple-blue color, and a texture that makes me think of velour. There’s also a throw blanket over the stool that has gold-like flecks in it. Hello there Fab Free, I don’t know about you but I am so glad for the weekend. I could use the three R’s, rest, relaxation, and retail therapy! With the retail therapy part in mind, I did wander through The Gacha Life event. They are celebrating the season with free gifts.
