I enjoy Christian Romance books and Cowboys. Her Mistaken identity Cowboy is Book 1 in the Love at Vargas Ranch Series. I am excited for the new Vargas Family Series. 

WOW, the storyline caught my attention from page 1. The setting is the Vargas Family Ranch. The 2 main characters in this book are Shannon and Parker. Shannon is trying to move on from a devasting relationship that resulted in a trust issue. She gets an assignment to work at Vargas Ranch and is startled at who she sees. Well, is it actually who she thinks it is. She realizes it is not who she thought it was after Police arrive and arrest Parker. Shannon was deceived by  Parker's Identical Twin Brother and Shannon wants to press charges. I really LOVE how Shannon quickly realizes that Parker is not Lucas, and how Parker is used to "cleaning up messes" created by his Twin Brother. Shannon and Parker begin working together at the Ranch and the relationship between them quickly becomes more then a working relationship. Shannon and Parker both realize that the "Mistaken Identity" might have been a blessing, as it helps them talk through some baggage they both carry. The book is about Healing, Forgiveness, Building Trust and Relationships. The book very faith based and I really love the encouragement throughout.  I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enoys Christian Romance. GREAT BOOK!

Christian Romantic Thriller is always an intriguing genre. Eye of the Mind by Sara Davison is the latest in this genre that I have read. I have been a HUGE Fan of Sara Davison for a while and I am always happy to see a new release by Sara. 

WOW, this storyline absolutely had me reeled in from the very beginning. The 2 main characters in this book are Firefighter Jules Adler and Officer Dante de Marco. The pair are set up on a Blind Date, although neither of them are too sure they actually want to be on this date. The date isn't going well and then things make a turn for the worse when Jules becomes witness to a murder. Officer Dante is put in charge of creating a Police Sketch of the suspect. Jules is doing her best to describe and help with the Sketch, although that is made tough due to a condition that mental images are not formed, rather they are "BLANK" images. The Blind Date wasn't a date they neither enjoyed, although as they begin working together to solve the murder, they begin to have a change of heart towards one another. I truly LOVED this book and all the Mystery and Romance woven throughout the story. The faith aspect of the storyline also lifted the Romance and story. Jules and Dante story was very intriguing and heartwarming. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance with Suspense. GREAT BOOK!

Like many writers, I began as a reader. My favorite authors were those whose styles were realistic and relatable, so when I began creating my first novel in my thirties, I knew that, above all, I wanted my stories to connect with readers.

My first foray into writing was a book about the biblical character Ruth. I spent years rewriting and shelving the book before finally submitting it to Elk Lake Publishing. They loved the book, and helped me prepare it for publication. Now, my work of biblical fiction, Princess of Moab: A Novel of Ruth, is finished and ready to find its readership.

I also have a contemporary Christian fiction series called The Rose Collection. These timely novels spotlight healing after spiritual abuse. I keep my characters grounded in the real world, so while they grow, learn, and seek solutions, they must also confront the detritus of the past. I write what I know, whether firsthand or through close observation, infusing the joy, happiness, and humor that come with spiritual freedom and love. The Rose Collection goes further than the deconstruction of broken spirits to the reconstruction of rescued souls.

My non-fiction book, The Women Who Set the Precedents: An Exploration of the Bible’s Bill of Rights for Women, is a deep dive into the prophecy of Bathsheba. Each chapter explores the life of a biblical woman as she embodies the principles of empowerment, intelligence, and spiritual maturity mentioned in the iconic, but often misapplied, last chapter of Proverbs.

I wrote Plague of Lies during school holidays while teaching at my church’s Christian school and raising two teen boys. Some of the conflict in the novel was inspired by the sudden appearance of a youth pastor from another school (my sons played against that school in basketball and football). He joined our church and was immediately placed in leadership positions. Later, it came out that he was fleeing from a bench warrant.

My story follows the fallout after a beloved church leader and mentor is exposed as a fraud and shuffled off to another church. I wanted to explore what happened to one of the students left behind as he attempts to pick up the spiritual pieces of his life.

While the book contains some heavy subject matter, it also offers hope, encouragement, and relatable main characters.

Scott Andrews, a seventeen-year-old who is blindsided by his mentor’s moral failing, has a failing of his own. But, instead of running away, he repents and becomes determined to live his life with complete honesty.

Eighteen years later, the fallout of the lies and betrayal continues as Lauren Andrews-Gianni reconnects with her long-lost father and learns the truth about her birth, why Scott walked away, and how he remembered her during their forced separation.

The rebuilding of Scott and Lauren’s relationship is the crux of the book and serves as a picture of how our Heavenly Father is preparing a home for us.

Christian Historical Romance is one of my favorite Genres. I also LOVE books by new Authors. A Siege on Her Heart by Jessica Brousseau is the authors Debut Novel. I immediately knew I wanted to read it after reading the synopsis. 

I can honestly say this is one of the BEST Debut Novels I have ever read. The setting is in San Sebastián, Spain in the early 1800's. The 2 main characters are Ana María Bailon and Captain Peter Ashmore. Ana is having to flee San Sebastian due to fires and the War. Ana is also pregnant and has yet to tell anyone. Captain Peter is willing to help her flee to another country and keep her safe there. Peter really wants to protect Ana and her unborn child and offers to marry Ana as they begin to move to England. Ana Maria accepts the Marriage of Convenience as she wants the best for her Unborn child. Peter and Ana are both dealing with situations with the past as they begin their marriage and settle into their new life together. I really LOVE that Peter begins to rely on God to help him through the obstacles of Post War and also to help him LOVE Ana. I was in awe that Ana shows Grace and LOVE to Peter as she begins to open her heart to him. Watching the relationship grow as they both rely on God and especially after the Baby is born was so heartwarming. The author does an AMAZING job at the Historical facts of the time and setting. The author has an AMAZING writing style that keeps the reader intrigued to keep reading. I am quite amazed that this is a debut novel for the author! I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Historical Romance books! WONDERFUL and AMAZING BOOK!
