Time to Work on Some Americana

Good Sunday morning to you!

I pulled out this very old WIP on my frame with threads and put in my Americana basket by the sofa.
Last night I worked on finishing the pink baby blanket and only have 12 rows to go...... YEY!

I was itching to start some stitching on something Americana with Fourth of July near.

I mean, who doesn't like everything Little House Needleworks?

This is stitched on 28 ct so easier on the eyes.

My camera color still is not the best even with working on it but.........

It's ready to go while I catch up on some Poldark Season 3episodes 1 and 2!!!!!!!
I found those full episodes on You Tube last night.
Anybody else like Poldark?

My basket has a handle but it's put down in the back. I picked it up at a junkin' store last Fall.

I have to wonder as I pull out my long time WIPS why in the world did I stop them?

I kinda know but they are loved again. For some time and until my heart skips a beat to work on another.

That's one good thing about stitching and knitting. We can choose. We can plan strategically or go at it whimsically, with no reserve.

This one will be mounted in a frame on the wall added to my sampler wall near the stairs with other Americana.

I hope your Sunday is going well. The day of rest.

Just ask Abbie.  If the sun is not shining on your blanket, just move the blanket to the sunniest spot in the room and soak in the sunshine. Sometimes we have to pick up and move to the light ourselves.

Till later,
Jennifer

Organizing for the studio

Saturday night was spent organizing my knitting stash. I put all my accumulated straight needles in a large flower vase I had and another one as well for a few circulars.

The large basket came from a junkin' store I perused yesterday as I was on a mission for this to store all my skeins. Now it's ready to put in my stitching studio with all needles organized, and much stash to knit.

It's pretty heavy. Mr Darcy is going to take it down to the studio today.

How do you organize your yarns and needles?  I know if feels good to claim the sofa and dining room table again!!!!

My Easter Baskets

Happy Easter to all!

It's the time of year to be especially thankful for Jesus Christ's resurrection, as in this we have hope ourselves if  we are believers. I certainly feel blessed this Easter surrounded by loving friends, family and the promise of Christ's return one day.

I'm so thankful for the gift of creativity, art, and music for these are true blessings in my life.
I'm also thankful for Spring, for in the changing season, the Earth is awakened and it gives all of us promise that even the coldest of Winters will end eventually and reveal a beautiful warm, colorful Spring.

Spring!!!

 New beginnings.

Warm sunshine.

Beautiful colors of flowers.

 Refreshing air.

Baskets.

What's Easter wthout an Easter basket?

Well, in my thrifting store finds this week, I found these two for dirt cheap to hold my stash and yarn, patterns and floss plus it just seemed more like Easter with a basket. Not filled with candy of peeps of which I love but room for hope of the things I love to stash. These were 2 and 3 dollars and I thought especially the first one was worth it. I will hang it on the wall and put flowers or pretty balls of yarn in my sewing area.

Both are very clean.

The colors along the band I love.

This one is also clean and the handle is unique. It will hold lots of yarn.
