The Potter’s Hands

If you have never
felt yourself
being molded and shaped
by the Potter’s hands
you have not yet realized
the awesome mystery you are.

Eyes of God

When you begin to see
everyone and everything
as individual manifestations
of the Divine
instead of as projections
of yourself,
you begin to see them
through the eyes of God.

Choice

At some point,
you will have to choose
whether to be guided by
the promptings of the Spirit
or the seductive lure
of security and control.

Certain Death

Here is the burning question
that will define my life
and purify my intentions
if asked often and in earnest:
Can I trust God knowing
I will surely die?

How many…

How many things
in the universe
can inspire
a thought of God?
Every one!
How many situations
can reveal
God’s presence?
All of of them!

The Favor of Fear

clouds-17946_1280

Before you surrender
your fears, you must believe
you can surrender your fears.
Before you can believe you can
surrender your fears, you must
want to surrender your fears.
Before you can want to surrender
your fears, you must feel them
crushing you and choking you.
And after you have felt this,
may you one day come to know
that fear has done you a favor.

Oneness with the Moment

The closer I get to experiencing
oneness with the moment,
the closer I get to experiencing
oneness with the Divine.

Compassion

hands-717522_1280

Choose not
the path of perfection,
frigid and ruthless
in its demands.
Walk rather
the road of compassion,
with love and mercy
streaming generously
from open hands.
