Panama Riots cool down
Calm Sets in After Panama Riots
©ourtesy of ThePanamaDigest :: By mid-afternoon Friday, Panama City was quieter than usual following the morning’s violent protests and looting. Streets were much emptier as people retreated to their homes. No construction could be heard, businesses were closed and soccer games postponed. Over 200 people had been arrested, and police began to search out looted goods. Although reports circulated that a curfew had been imposed, the government announced that it had not. Although continued violence is not expected, Saúl Méndez, head of the Suntracs, said that leaders of the workers union would meet at the Soloy Hotel at 9 a.m. to ensure that the National Assembly repeals Colon land sale Law 72.

*NY rapper Azealia Banks just brought Dolce & Gabbana’s new racially-insensitive clothing and accessory line back into the headlines with a series of tweets.
A month after the Italian design house’s controversial spring 2013 collection made its debut at Milan Fashion Week, Banks took to Twitter this past weekend to say she is boycotting the line over its imagery. “Definitely boycotting Dolce & Gabanna,” she tweeted. “Whoever designed that racist ass Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big d**k up the ass. “I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as ‘art.’” “It’s all just really unnecessary. the clothes in the collection were fine without all the ‘black mammie’ imagery.” – – Read more

My Beef With “The New Normal”
©ourtesy of Bittersweet
I am obsessed with gay culture; I analyze, praise, and sometimes denounce every piece I come in contact with. That is why I was excited by the announcement of Ryan Murphy’s new show baby, The New Normal. The basic premise is about a gay male couple that seeks out a surrogate mother in order to start their own family. Toss in a misunderstood daughter, a sassy black personal assistant, and a homophobic and racist grandmother and you have the perfect grounds for a hilarious sitcom. – – Read more
NOTE: Question here is, WHY are gay characters in the media, television, film, videos etc., always portrayed as “TRENDS”. Such a Joke that really ain’t all that funny …! Point is, the time is right for the marketers to make some money, BIG TIME, at the expense of the Gay Community. Next year it’ll be some other Group….ha-rrrrrray.
