I am a fan of all speculative media, but am peculiarly drawn to science fiction, heroic fantasy, and superhero yarns. Firewater has been my chosen nom de guerre to hide behind for around two decades. Oddly enough, I created my avatar first.

I am a recovering comic book geek who no longer actively collects but occasionally dives into trade paperbacks. The mental images that Marvel and DC were once able to conjure in my mind when I was a child are now fully realized in the movies and on television. I am happy to be living in the future they used to tell us about.
I made my gamer bones in the video game arcades of the ’80s and still enjoy playing games today. I relented and graduated to the PlayStation 5 in May 2025. The Mass Effect series from BioWare is still my all-time favorite video game series, but Assassin’s Creed is a close second.
After a long career in retailing management, I finished up my gainfully employed days as a window clerk for USPS. These days, I am on permanent vacation.
For some time now, my chosen personal motto has been “Read. Play. Watch.” This was, of course, based on “Eat, Pray, Love,” from a book and movie I’ve never read or watched. Since music and podcasts play some role in my particular brand of nerdity, I’ve altered that motto somewhat.
From this point on (until I decide to change it again, at any rate), the FirewaterCorp motto is:
Read. Play. Watch. Listen.
And—of course—“Write About It.”

Hey, just found your site! I just discovered Dear Mr. Potter and I’m loving it, but I’ve found out that most of the links to episodes on the NorthPoint website don’t work, and I cannot find them anywhere online. I’ve gotten a hold of all of season 1 and much of season 2 but I don’t have any more. Could you help me? Thanks.

Sorry. It seems all of the husband’s podcasts have been pulled from the internet. Lani Diane Rich still runs Chipperish Media, which has some good content as well.

oh shoot. It’s so hard to find good Harry Potter podcasts. There are so many but they are all so bad by and large. This was by far the best I had stumbled upon. If you have any recommendations please let me know.
and thank you for your help ❤️
