The name GRINDERS for those that wrapped up with the music punk in the decade of 80 in some way was always associated to the Skate culture .This’s due to the fact of the band and their members see the name, last name and attitude presents in the sport as vital source of inspiration and energy for his/her music. Starting from the union of two bands that you/they acted in the beginning of the decade of 80 the only Brazilian group it appeared from the history to be endowed officially by the sport apprentices .At 83 when some of the members of the bands Enemy of the Order and Holocaust met for the first time, it would appear that that later would finish being known like GRINDERS. THE name of a maneuver could not stop adapting to the style and proposal of the band in a such perfect way. The big blamed by the baptism was the friend, skater and entrepreneur Jorge Kuge (proprietor of the mark Urgh!). In that way it would appear officially in the year of 84, in ABC from São Paulo a new band of punk rock completely influenced by the skate Californian punk of the decade of 80, search names as Circle Jerk’s, Agent Orange, Black Flag, TSOL, Dead Kennedys and Misfits (that actually was of the state of New York). As the formation of the group it possessed local skaters, the label of the band as "Skate Rock" or "Skate Punk"foi appearing naturally and everything that the members could do was accept.They possessed the necessary requirement to fit in the gender, a skaters band that produced music Punk. That happened in a time where the scenery of the music and the movement punk in itself was in the middle of the effervescence due to the activities accomplished by the main groups punk of the time. Like this GRINDERS left his/her name nailed in the history of the national rock to begin for his/her first registration official, the colectionn ATAQUE SONORO, release at that time of the good and old vinyl, it went an important mark to whole a movement. Thrown in the year of 1985 by the stamp ATAQUE FRONTAL the vinyl brought two strips originally recorded by GRINDERS and other music of bands of the same scene. Little before, still in the year of formation (84) the band had thrown his/her first one demo-covers with nine strips. After the good repercussion and caused impression, it would lack little so that the group was invited to record his/her first one and for years, only album. It was then that in 87 GRINDERS registered 16 channels in studio, the 12 strips of the album that takes the same name of the band.The album a work of art of the history of the Brazilian punk can be considered and it is yes the largest and maybe only reference for the skate punk produced in every history of the music underground of Brazil. In other words, a great classic. Everything was there, ironic letters on the repression of the period powders military, inquiries about the life way and labor work, destruction of the fascism and descriptions on the pleasure of being on top of a skate.Em a time where most of the bands only worried in playing in a fast and aggressive way, GRINDERS for the margins adding melody and creativity in their compositions. The skaters sympathy, Surfers and Punks of the time took them to participate in countless skate championships in several municipal districts. The crisis happened at the end of the eighties, beginning of the 90 would bring a devastating effect to Brazil, also reaching the band putting an end to his/her formation, that later, in 2000 it would return to invitation of the ATAQUE FRONTAL for opening of Marky Ramone’s show, in Broadway in São Paulo. It is like this GRINDERS returned officially to the active.
