Rawberries
In 2007 the Rotterdamn, Netherlands based collective Rawberries released an album packed with Punk which contains traces of bands like The Clash, Bambix, Green Day and The Business. One thing is for sure, its catchy and melodic as hell. To be clear, this isnt pink cuddly punk like some other bands out there are playing. For that the I-rather-die-than-give-up vocals of singer Jeroen are too raw and Punk. Don't expect nice slick singing of this guy. Nope, its more a whiskey drown voice. Sometimes slightly out of key like in A Ticket To The Unknown he completes the picture just perfectly, because this is punk in its natural form: rugged and unpolished. Tracks like City Tramps, No More and Braindead make this a solid debut-album. In short, Jeroen, Jens (guitar), Dick (bass) and Mark (drums) may be proud of what they achieved and for those among you who are into Punk: check this album out!
