Antisect

Antisect is Anarcho Punk band from Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. Active from 1981 to 1987, then reformed in May 2011. By the mid-1980s, while the original ideals of Anarcho-Punk remained, the initial excitement and freshness of the first wave had largely faded. A dark future loomed as atomic fear, Thatcher's reign, and the threats of the Cold War were ever present. Antisect's worldview came to reflect that, as slowly their anarchistic politics were replaced by a more lifestylist philosophy, focusing more on the struggles and coping mechanisms to deal with the challenges of daily life. The outlook was bleak, and Antisect captured these feelings of uncertainty and disillusionment in their music. Pete Boyce was the original singer, joined by Rich Hill and Caroline Wallis (AKA Caz Eden) on "In Darkness, There Is No Choice". Renusze 'Wink' Rokicki (now deceased) was the bassist, Pete 'Polly' Paluskiewicz was the drummer and Pete 'Lippy' Lyons the guitarist. The line up for "Out From The Void" 7'' was Pete Lyons on guitar and vocals, Pete Paluskiewicz on drums and John Bryson on bass and vocals. Tim Andrews joined as vocalist and Lawrence Windle as bassist shortly after & until the initial split in 1987.
