First 5G positioning signals 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁 🛰️ The European Space Agency - ESA and Thales Alenia Space have successfully demonstrated the transmission of 5G positioning signals from the Celeste IOD-2 satellite in LEO and their reception in Toulouse. 📡 Celeste is ESA’s LEO-PNT demonstrator, aimed at adding a complementary low-Earth-orbit layer to Galileo and EGNOS for more resilient and accurate positioning. 🌐 What makes this milestone special is that it is 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝗶𝘁𝘀-𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 demonstration of 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) positioning signals from LEO — proving that satellite navigation and mobile communications can converge in the same system. 💫 Anywaves contribution as part of the Thales Alenia Space consortium, is the L-band deployable quadrifilar helical navigation payload antenna and our GNSS All-Bands Antenna onboard the Celeste satellites. United Arab Emirates 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 toward LEO-PNT capability 🛰️ Most of the navigation signals we rely on today come from Medium Earth Orbit, about 20,000 km up. Is the Anywaves 𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗦𝗔 𝗦𝗗𝗥 designed specifically for CubeSats, or can it support a broader range of satellite missions? And is the current form factor final? 🛰️ These are great questions we received from Liebert Lemes, MSc in the comments to another post — so great in fact that we thought it would be best to answer them on camera. 🎥 🎞️ In this short video, our Technical Sales Engineer Thibaut Gurné explains that 𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗦𝗔 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 for a wide range of space missions, while remaining fully compatible with CubeSats. He also shares that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. The platform will continue to evolve based on market needs and customer feedback — including exploring a more modular, rack-style architecture with hardware slices for greater flexibility.💫 Have a technical question about one of our products? 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. But the systems that keep it safe are not keeping pace. NASA & ESA currently estimate that more than 1.2 million debris objects between 1 and 10 cm are in orbit—objects large enough to cause catastrophic damage. If this trajectory continues, some orbital regions could become increasingly hazardous—or unusable. We founded Project-S to change that trajectory. Our vision is space for everyone: an orbital environment where humanity can operate safely and keep exploring. Our mission is to 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We release our integrated technology roadmap visualised: • Detect all small debris objects per orbit • Model and accurately predict their paths • Support and automate collision-avoidance decisions • Enable debris remediation and removal Space safety is not a feature. It is part of the infrastructure. Curious to learn more? We have prepared an extended technical white paper explaining this architecture and the longer-term roadmap in greater depth. If you are a space enthusiast, a space operator, or just casually enjoying tech trends, what applications of space technologies excite you the most? Add TECH PAPER to your answer and we'll send the detailed architecture directly. #Space #Technology #Sustainability #OrbitalDebris #ProjectS

SmallSat 2026 is over — but the conversations from Salt Lake City are only just beginning. 🚀☁️ Four packed days, thousands of space professionals, one unforgettable Anywaves opening party — and plenty of ideas we’re bringing home with us. What a blast SmallSat 2026 was! This year’s 40th Small Satellite Conference (SmallSat) took us into “The Clouds Above the Clouds”, bringing together the global small satellite community to discuss the technologies, missions and collaborations shaping what comes next. For Anywaves, it was a particularly special edition. For the first time, our France, Luxembourg and US teams came together at SmallSat under one Anywaves banner — meeting customers, suppliers, partners and friends from across the industry. And we certainly started the week in style with our SmallSat Opening Party! (Did you see our recap video?) 🤠🎸🚀 In this short recap, our President Nicolas CAPET shares his view of SmallSat 2026: the energy of the event, the technical presentations and missions that caught his attention, and the ideas that will help shape our roadmap and the next generation of Anywaves solutions. 🎥 Watch Nicolas take us through some of the highlights from Salt Lake City. Thank you to everyone who made SmallSat 2026 such a memorable week. See you above the clouds! ☁️🛰️ #SmallSat2026 #SmallSatelliteConference #SmallSat #Anywaves #SpaceTech #NewSpace #SatelliteTechnology #SpaceIndustry #SaltLakeCity

What a night! 🤠🚀 Yesterday, around 1,400 people joined us for Big Steps at SmallSat — roughly half of everyone attending Small Satellite Conference (SmallSat) in Salt Lake City this year! And what made it such a success? The great food and drinks. The band. The fun stickers. The Wild West bandanas. The mechanical bull. The incredible atmosphere, including the weather. And did we mention the band? 🎸🔥 A huge thank you to the SmallSat organisers for supporting this party for the second year in a row — and, above all, thank you to everyone who came. Registered or not, you showed up and celebrated another big step at SmallSat with Anywaves! And a special shout-out to the many hundreds of you who stayed with us right until the end, despite the threat of rain… and despite knowing that the conference would start bright and early on Monday morning. 😄 Now that SmallSat has properly started, come and continue the conversation with us at our booth! 📍 Anywaves — Booth #1613 See you there! 🚀 #SmallSat2026 #Anywaves #SpaceIndustry #SmallSat #NewSpace
