LGBT+ inclusion progress is real, but it's also fragile. John Hilson is the Risk Office Director at AXA UK & Ireland and Chair of AXA OPEN, AXA's global LGBT+ employee network. He joined AXA and discovered an environment where being LBGT+ did not present any barriers, and also he knows the importance of broader inclusion mission. "We've made great progress in terms of inclusion and equal rights. But we can see how quickly that can come under pressure, be threatened, or change." For John, staying optimistic isn't naive, it's strategic. It means focusing on allyship. On shaping not just policy, but the lived experience of LGBT+ colleagues every day. His message to allies is simple: "Be genuine. Be curious. Be brave enough to ask a question you don't know the answer to. Sincerity comes through." #PrideMonth #LGBT+ #Inclusion #WeAreAXA #AXAUKIreland #IDAHOBIT

The communities least responsible for climate change are the most exposed to it and the least insured. That's the adaptation gap. And it's widening faster than mitigation efforts can close it. In a new conversation, five voices working on climate resilience share what adaptation looks like in practice for cities, governments, and the populations on the front line. Adaptation is not a cost. It's a condition for resilience, insurability, and long-term viability. Where should public-private frameworks start to close the gap?

Every challenge starts the night before! At AXA, we believe that quality sleep is one of the most powerful ways to prepare for what matters, in sport, at work and in everyday life. In this film with Liverpool Football Club, Mohamed Salah, Joe Gomez, Beata Olsson and Grace Fisk highlight how a good sleep routine supports recovery, focus and mental preparation. Because sleep is much more than rest. Get ready for it! #KnowYouCan #LiverpoolFC #OfficialGlobalTrainingPartner

Only 43% of threatened species in France are legally protected. Protection is heavily skewed toward visible species. 95% of threatened birds and mammals are legally protected. Only 6% of threatened insects are yet they underpin pollination, soil fertility, and food system stability. New research from AXA Climate analysed the overlap between scientifically threatened species and those actually covered by law, across mainland France and overseas territories. For any company assessing its biodiversity exposure, the implication is clear: what regulation covers and what ecosystems actually depend on are two very different things. €10 million invested to restore a wetland. A wildfire wipes it out. What happens next? This is exactly the scenario Restore was built for, the insurance product AXA and AXA XL underwrite together with SCOR, designed for the early, critical phase of ecological restoration. In this second conversation, two perspectives on how it works in practice: Aurélie FALLON SAINT-LO, Head of Sustainable Underwriting at AXA, on the mechanics: if a covered event such as a wildfire damages the project, Restore indemnifies the full cost of bringing the site back onto its original ecological trajectory replanting native trees, rebuilding the wetland, restoring the conditions for recovery. Marie-Sophie Teyssier, Co-founder of NatureRe Capital AG, on what this changes for the investor side: when a restoration project carries Restore, the de-risking element shifts the conversation. Nature restoration becomes underwritable and therefore investable. That second point is the one that matters for scale. Nature finance won't grow on goodwill. It will grow when the risk architecture catches up with the ambition and that's where insurers have a role to play. 👉 Watch the video to understand how it works.

📢 1Q 2026 indicators at AXA: – Gross written premiums and other revenues at €38.0 billion, up +6% – Property & Casualty premiums up +4%, with both volume and price contributing – Life & Health premiums up +8% – Solvency II ratio at 211% Behind these numbers, one constant: a protection model built to absorb shocks that are larger, more frequent, and more correlated than in past cycles. At AXA, this is what allows us to keep paying claims when shocks hit, and to keep investing in the solutions our clients will need next. Climate volatility, geopolitical tensions, shifting interest rates: the environment we operate in has rarely combined this many sources of uncertainty at once. That diversification is not a portfolio preference. It is the condition for serving 92 million clients reliably. Insurance built on mutualization alone can no longer absorb the risks coming. AI is what extends and reinvents the model. At AXA, we see this shift play out across our portfolio: climate change, cyber events, and demographic pressure are making risks more frequent and more correlated than the pooling logic was designed for. AI changes what insurers can actually do, but technology alone doesn't deliver. Three conditions matter: - Data turns risk into foresight. AI processes climate, health and behavioural data at a scale humans can't match. It gives people time to act, not just react. - Prevention is a collective effort. No insurer prevents risk alone. AXA builds open partnerships because prevention requires convening, not just covering. - Prevention by design. Parametric payouts triggered before a flood peaks. Municipalities mapping heatwave-vulnerable streets. Health coaches calling before symptoms become a problem. The role of an insurer is shifting: from only compensating after the event to preventing harm whenever possible. Françoise Gilles, Matthieu Caillat, Karima Silvent and Mathieu Godart discussed this shift at our latest Shareholders’ Meeting. Full conversation linked below.

Tech follows business. Not the other way around. That's the principle Matthieu Caillat lays out here and it's how AI is being deployed across AXA: starting from a customer, employee or risk question, then choosing the tool. The result he shares speaks for itself: 70% of our employees now have a positive view of AI. For a Group operating in 50+ markets, that internal conviction is what makes scale possible and responsible.
What if you stopped treating AI as just another IT project? We began by asking where we can: - shorten customer wait times - better support our employees - sharpen how we assess and manage risks By letting the tech follow the business need, we tackled the biggest challenge: building conviction. This is why 70% of AXA employees have a positive view of AI. It now gives us a real competitive advantage to move responsibly and at scale.

"I needed an escape route. I needed to feel good about myself again.” When Steph tried women’s walking football she found more than just a sport she loved. She found a community - people going through the same changes, the same doubts, the same shifting ground. She found connection.
