We’re happy to announce a new partnership with POLI.design, a consortium founded by the Politecnico di Milano and dedicated to training professionals in the field of design. MANE will be partnering on the international specialisation course Olfactive Design, which focuses on exploring the olfactory dimensions of places, objects, and materials, from their historical evolution to the creation of new sensory experiences related to fragrance and smell. These multidisciplinary collaborations are an important part of MANE’s ongoing commitment to a future of innovation. What a wonderful day at Barnes Fragrance Fair We loved meeting so many passionate people at the MANE stand and sharing a glimpse into the perfumer’s palette through unique ingredients, innovative extraction techniques and interactive scent experiences. Our perfumer Cristiano Canali also hosted an inspiring masterclass, exploring the craft behind fragrance creation and introducing guests to some of our most unique raw materials and accords to a wonderfully engaged audience. Cristiano also joined the “From Dream to Bottle” panel discussion hosted by Josephine Fairley, sharing insights into the creative journey behind fragrance creation and the art of working with ingredients. What made the day so special was seeing people from all backgrounds and levels of fragrance knowledge come together with the same curiosity, enthusiasm and passion for scent. We are delighted to announce that our Perfumer, Jérôme Di Marino, was on the jury for Mouillette d’Argent Awards, a contest organised on 20 May as part of Barcelona Olfaction Week. Mouillette d’Argent is a unique celebration dedicated to the art of olfaction, bringing together both established and emerging talents in perfumery. Perfumers create original compositions, showcasing their creativity around a different olfactory note each year. The star ingredient this year was patchouli. As a jury member, Jérôme evaluated fragrances based on multiple criteria, such as technical quality, originality, richness, value, diffusion, sillage, and persistence. Our team in New York hosted a multisensorial, immersive experience to mark the anniversary of “Perfumer Playground”, a project that connects perfumers with creativity through the art of play. Following a six-month creative residency with musician, DJ and producer James Hartnett, the event transformed an art gallery into an experimental space, showcasing audio techniques, bespoke music, unique fragrance accords, and fine fragrances created by MANE’s perfumers. Perfumers became producers, pioneering accords from chords, interlacing audio with olfaction. Inspired by the A-side/B-side format of records, they created two distinct interpretations of their accord, each offering a different perspective on the same olfactive theme. Barcelona became a meeting point for fragrance lovers during Barcelona Olfaction Week, an inspiring initiative organised by the Beauty Cluster last week. MANE had the pleasure of participating in Barcelona Perfume Day – a celebration of olfactory creativity at the iconic Palau Robert in Barcelona. This one-of-a-kind experience brought together fragrance professionals, perfumers, and experts to highlight the culture, science, and artistry of scent. The theme explored salt as an ingredient in perfume making. Julien Gauthier, Assistant Perfumer at MANE, touched on the importance of salt: a common part of everyday life, yet so much more than just a simple mineral. Attendees experienced a selection of fragrances crafted by MANE perfumers from around the world. Every fragrance was shaped by the perfumer’s own personal vision – their memories, emotions, and cultural backgrounds – demonstrating how a single ingredient could inspire profoundly different artistic expressions.
