When planters either faintly involve the church or completely bypass meaningful engagement, they risk hurting the very people they hope to serve. To distance yourself from this ministry is to distance yourself from God’s good gift to help you in planting a church.
Parachurch ministries will ask you to agree to a statement of beliefs. Perhaps they will ask you a handful of questions and listen to you teach a few times. But none of this can replace the three-dimensional experience of seeing one’s life and doctrine up close and personal over the course of time.
