Blessed are they that keep his commandments,
that their power may be in the tree of life,
and that they may enter in through the gates into the city (Rev_22:14).
‘Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap’ (Gal_6:7).
I want to sow for time and eternity. My heart hungers and thirsts for righteousness. I want my life to be hidden in Christ Jesus, so that my sowing will produce the right harvest. I think seriously about my own self: every day, in words or actions, I sow tares or wheat. I want to sow for time and eternity. My allotted span of life is almost over, and what will be the harvest? I want a serene and unshakable trust in the Most High. I have experienced His protective care in a remarkable way when I have followed the path of duty. I want to go down to the grave like an ear of well-ripened corn. I want no complaints in my heart; only gratitude should dwell in it.
Every moment is precious and abounds in eternal consequences. We are in a world of appearances that mocks and deceives like the apples of Sodom. Oh, how the Lord considers the duplicity of our world! If we could not look beyond the clouds and catch the bright rays of the Sun of righteousness, we might well be overcome; but Jesus lives; the bow of promise encircles the throne as a constant assurance that Jesus lives, and because He lives, we shall live also…..
Discipline in the school of Christ will cause the church to rest upon the arm of her Beloved. The redeemed of the Lord will finally come to Zion in song and everlasting joy, in triumph and victory. All the angelic host will sing with rejoicing for them. But what are the requirements of our citizenship?
