Encrypt outbound emails directly from the composer
Virtru provides end-to-end email encryption for regulated industries including healthcare, legal, financial services, and insurance. Organizations deploy a Virtru gateway alongside their existing email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or custom SMTP) to automatically encrypt outbound messages containing sensitive data — ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GLBA, and other regulatory frameworks. Encryption policies and rules are managed centrally through the Virtru Control Center.
The Virtru integration adds an encrypt toggle directly in Front’s email composer, letting agents flag individual outbound messages for encryption before sending. When toggled on, Front injects a signal header that your email provider routes through your organization’s Virtru gateway — encrypting the message server-side before delivery. Setup requires enabling the integration in Front, creating a security rule in the Virtru Control Center, and configuring outbound routing in your email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or custom SMTP). Recipients receive a secure link to access the encrypted message — no Virtru account needed on their end.
