Thus far, the last decade of 20th century America has been characterized by the senseless destruction of a country (Yugoslavia) and over one million of its inhabitants (Iraq), and the outrageous murder of human beings and destruction of nearly a billion dollars' worth of property by racists in Los Angeles. This is keeping with the rest of the century - the most atheistic and the most violent in human history.

In contrast, the first decades of America[1] were characterized by the drafting of legal penal codes which were taken verbatim from the Bible, such as the Body of Liberties adopted in 1641 by the Massachusetts Bay Colony, which explicitly provided that no law was to be prescribed contrary to the Word of God, and was annotated with appropriate Scripture references by John Cotton. Crime was low; the country prospered.

Sandwiched between these two contrasting decades is the Revolutionary War against Great Britain, which resulted in the formation of the United States of America as a rival "power." Our nation celebrates this event every Fourth of July.

The Declaration of Independence (published July 4, 1776) and the new Constitution (written a few years later) were part of America's repudiation of Biblical authority. The Declaration, which never mentions Jesus Christ, focuses on "Independence" and "rights," and by losing sight of the Suffering Servant, helped change the official character of the nation from the evangelical to the materialistic, and thus helped create the selfish, violent nation in which we now live.[2]

In our day taxes are ten times as great as they were in 1776, illiteracy is also about ten times as great (compare an 8th grade final exam from 1776 with an exam from today's public schools), and the State is incomparably more unGodly. Can anyone seriously maintain that America under George XI (or whoever the king might have been had we remained British) could have been any worse than America under Clinton I?

Clearly, what matters most is the virtue of the people. The system of government really doesn't matter at all. A two percent tax rate and an abstract political theory certainly didn't justify the killing that took place in the war that began July 4, 1776.

Many Christians are very patriotic, and support the Declaration of Independence and America's Revolutionary War for Independence.

How can this be?
The War for Independence was so plainly unBiblical.

Then we can look at the Declaration of Independence and ask some probing questions.

(#1: It's fascinating the way our recent "bicentennial" erased nearly two centuries of prior Christian society. The Puritans were explicitly dedicated to making America a "city upon a hill," by concretely putting God's Law into effect. By saying America is only 200+ years old, instead of more like 400, Christian Theocratic history is sent down the "Orwellian Memory Hole.")

Atlantis FOUND? The lost city is in ISRAEL and the Bible proves it - Shock ruin REVEAL

PLATO’S description of the lost city of Atlantis matches biblical records and ancient Jewish ruins in Israel, a researcher has shockingly claimed.

The lost city of Atlantis is a mythical island, believed by many conspiracy theorists to be lost to time. Atlantis was first described by the Greek philosopher Plato as early as the year 350BC. The city is said to have suffered a cataclysmic tragedy during which it was permanently submerged somewhere in the Mediterranean or the Atlantic Ocean. However, there are some who believe Atlantis never truly disappeared in the depths of the oceans and its ruins are somewhere out there to be found.

One of these conspiracy theorists is biblical researcher Ryan Pitterson, author of Judgment of the Nephilim.

The book author is convinced Plato’s description of the ancient city matches biblical records of the Israeli city of Gilgal Refaim, the ruins of which still exist today.

According to Mr Pitterson, the saga of Atlantis falls in line with the Bible’s incredible tales of superhuman giants known as the Nephilim.

The Nephilim were a race of half-human, half-angelic beings fathered by fallen angels.

Speaking to Coast to Coast AM radio, Mr Pitterson said this description matches the tale of the Greek god Poseidon, who fathered children with a human woman on Atlantis.

imageMr Pitterson said: “One example that really stood out for me is Plato’s description of Atlantis and so, it’s almost remarkable how similar the description of Ezekiel 31, which basically describes the rise of this falling angle spawning many children having a kingdom with an abundance of resources and rivers and also sort of military power and then having it crumble.

“So what I did, is basically drew some parallels between that and the writings of Plato in describing Atlantis.

“First of, in Plato’s account, it was the Greek god Poseidon who fell in love with a human woman and impregnated her.

“So right from the onset it was a god coming to an Earthly realm and conceiving a child with a human woman in the same fashion of Genesis 6.

“So the description of Atlantis is that it had all sorts of great minerals – gold, precious minerals and in a biblical account in Genesis 2, we’re told the rivers that ran out of Eden encompassed the whole line of Avila.

There were numerous species in Atlantis and what is one of the things that happen in the Garden of Eden is that you see that there are animals that Adam is in charge of naming.”

All of this stood out to the book author in a way that perfectly matched Plato’s description of the lost city.

In particular, Atlantis is said to have been built outwards in concentric circles with water running through the city.

Mr Pitterson said: “I actually include an image, an aerial photos of Gilgal Refaim, which is known as the Wheel of the Giant, which is in the Golan Heights.”

imageThis supposedly matches the five concentric circles of Gilgal, which was built using 40,000 tonnes of rock.

The parallels, the biblical conspiracy said, are truly “remarkable”.

Today, the ancient ruins of Gilgal are found near Argaman in the Jordan Valle.

What is interesting is Plato’s description of Atlantis – it was an island larger than Ancient Libya and Asia Minor combined.

According to Plato, the city was inhabited by the offspring of Poseidon, who lived across a number of kingdoms, but also a central city on the island.

A fragment from Plato’s Timaeus reads: “In the centre was a holy temple dedicated to Cleito and Poseidon, which remained inaccessible, and was surrounded by an enclosure of gold; this was the spot in which they originally begat the race of the ten princes, and thither they annually brought the fruits of the earth in their season from all the ten portions, and performed sacrifices to each of them.

“Here, too, was Poseidon’s own temple, of a stadium in length and half a stadium in width, and of a proportionate height, having a sort of barbaric splendour.

“All the outside of the temple, with the exception of the pinnacles, they covered with silver, and the pinnacles with gold.

“In the interior of the temple the roof was of ivory, adorned everywhere with gold and silver and orichalcum; all the other parts of the walls and pillars and floor they lined with orichalcum.”

However, it is hard to gather today whether any of these descriptions match up with the ruins of Gilgal in Israel.

There is also very little evidence to suggest Atlantis existed outside of Plato’s work.

According to James Romm, a professor of classics at Bard College in Annandale, New York, the story of Atlantis is a captivating mystery.

But Atlantis is just a story without any basis in fact or archaeological evidence.
