A done deal
“What must I do?”
If you hinge it on what you must do…you must do it all and do it perfectly. You must keep the law to every dot and iota.
The old order is over anyway. The book (the law) has been closed. As closed as every hardened heart.
“It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied.
The law hinged on separation. That’s why Christ uses the illustration of divorce for his narrative. What God has joined together let no man separate. We are one flesh. But religion (man made) attempts to sever us from this reality.
With mans attempts, Union is impossible but with God it is a done deal. And it is a done deal; he has given us a new heart and put a new spirit within us.
The secret is out
Something transcendent is woven into every single one of our ordinary day to day lives. Every breath, every fiber and every cell is laced with it.
The condemnation card is not in Gods hand
God does not condemn us. So who does? Religion, the world, the devil? If we believe in the liberty of the gospel this so called condemnation will not sting us or even singe us. We will walk through its flames with out being burned. Those who do not believe still hold onto old belief systems that divide everything according to the tree of knowledge of good and evil and not according to the tree of life which is the tree of inclusion and reconciliation. Does unbelief affect our inclusion? Hell no! But it can affect our enjoyment of that reality drastically.
The Christian Christ and His Awakening
What would Christ say to an unbeliever on The Day of Judgement? According to Christianity He will say something like, “You did not believe in my redemption therefore you shall burn eternally!” As an unbeliever my reply would be,”well neither was I a believer in Adams failure so we are even…I have not died nor raised just been alive this whole time. I believe in an everlasting union between all existence and the divine.”
The Christ of Christianity would probably then at that very moment wake up and be converted, take off his crown of thorns, and retire to a life of unending love and bliss.
Shed light
Christ represents the infinite tearing into the finite. An awakening to true nature and being. Our lives are an incarnation. God, human, and all existence as one.
We are washed by this wondrous love Union. It crashes down upon us, within us, every single day. Fear is self-inflicted punishment. Love devours that self hatred.
Untie your scapegoats
Untie your scapegoats and let them run free.
In our favor
Through each season of growing, life will never deliver us a beating or punishment. Life is for us and infinitely on our side. Life is ours to experience and enjoy not to be spanked or burned by. That is an illusion that our own fears and anger have created.
Humanities innocence
The innocence humanity possesses at its core is dead to the law of sin and death. This innocence, far from common thought, is not eternal ‘good behavior’ but eternal liberty; freedom to be and to stumble into our true selves without any offense to God.
Your works aren’t necessary
And there they are, The Pearly Gates, everyone goes rushing in with a full access pass, completely free of charge. But then one approaches with his currency of works and good deeds trying to buy his way in – The Lord looks at him laughing and says, “Sorry bud, you don’t have enough.”
