A is for Alan

This month it will be three years since my Beloved flew away to heaven.  I am in the grips of  depression as the date he left us grows nearer.

Fall once was my favorite time of year...now I find Spring and Summer are the delight of my heart.

Still--I am not alone.  My husband loved God and I know Alan is safe in His arms.  I am comforted by that.  And someday I will see him again, I will hear his laughter, see his smile.  And I have a feeling he will have a LOT of stories to tell me once I get up there.

God bless you all, dear ones.  You are in my prayers--you know who you are.

Beach Sky Beauty

In January I visited Gleneden Beach in Oregon.  The weather was glorious.  Above is a triangle cloud I captured, lingering over the ocean.

It hung over the sea for the longest time.  I stayed until the cloud turned into a fat little man who seemed to wave when I smiled at him.

Snow, Beaches and Hearts - Guest Heart Thursday

By the time we arrived the sun had already gone down--but we could see the waves of the sea because a car sitting on the beach had highlighted them with their beams.  It was a wild and windy night--every time I would get up I would see snow falling in the parking lot lights.

When we awoke early the next morning, this is what we saw!  After a marvelous breakfast, we went for a walk on the beach...in the SNOW!

I found these interesting "creatures" standing in the snow.  As you can see one is in the shape of a heart.

That evening we went out again to watch the sunset.  I wasn't a bit surprised to see this giant heart shining out over the beach.  After all--the beach was greeting a long-lost Friend...Clytie, Queen of Hearts.

For more heart art, photography and altogether fabulous heart stuff from around the world, visit Clytie at Random Hearts for Guest Heart Thursday.

Square over Pacific City

A few years ago my friend Lynn and I went to the beach and stayed for a couple of days.  This is one of the extraordinary photos I took that day.  Yes, I do see the mermaid--but do you see the giant rectangle???

Have a wonderful week!

This Square is Groovin'

I was fascinated by this square I found in the sandstone near the waves of the ocean.  It held my eye with its straight lines...and then I thought to myself, This Square is Groovin'.
