Scudding clouds
This was the most breathtaking cloud formation. I was able to catch it over the mountains during a recent trip to Idaho. It reminds me of fingers...or a sail on a sailing ship...
I love clouds.

Jagged -SkyWatch Friday
Early this Summer I caught this magnificent cloud in the skies. The angular lines contrasted with the softer wispy clouds were so eye-catching. My camera didn't do these clouds justice.
Here is a rounded spindle shaped cloud I caught peeking at me over the back fence. If you love clouds as much as I do--join SkyWatch Friday to see all the amazing things to be found by looking up. Happy SkyWatch Friday and have a lovely weekend.

Blue Cloud Heart -Guest Heart Thursday
Sitting on the beach before the fireworks began, the real display was in the clouds. I have such lovely memories of my Mom, my little buddy Theresa and I lying back on the blanket together laughing over how great the clouds looked upside down. In fact, as you can see--this photo is upside down. And yes, there are plenty of hearts to be found.
Here is another photo I took lying back on the blanket--as you can see, there are two jet trails from opposite directions.
I was astounded to see this "E" in the clouds--Mom's first name is Eva. Theresa, Mumsie and I thought this was a pretty wonderful occurence!
Have a lovely day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Gathering of Three -SkyWatch Friday
I caught this gathering of three puff clouds over our back yard awhile back. I was fascinated by the way they looked. I can see all kinds of animals and faces in this odd set of clouds.

Squared
I caught these astonishing clouds with straight lines recently over the top of my house. These kinds of clouds always fill me with a bit of awe.
Clouds aren't supposed to be square-shaped!
The beauty of the skies bring to mind the Words the Maker of Life spoke to His servant Job.
"Can you lift your voice to the clouds,
That a flood of waters may cover you?
Can you send forth lightnings that they may go
And say to you, 'here we are'?"
Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
When the dust runs into a mass
And the clods hold together?
Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
When the dust runs into a mass
And the clods hold together?

ZigZags and More in the Skies -SkyWatch Friday
I took this photo through the window of the Van as we were traveling...so beautiful, a V in the sky.
Here is another I clicked on Saturday evening. Such a beautiful sky.
Here is a lovely winged zigzag.
The beauty of the heavens above never ceases to amaze my eyes.

Caped Crusader, or is it?
I can see many things in this oddly shaped configuration of clouds. Could it be a dolphin? Maybe it's superman looking upward, his billowing cape flowing behind him. OR, perhaps it is a giant pair of lips! What do YOU see?

Square of Light, Heart of Cloud - Guest Heart Thursday
Just before we left for the weekend, I snapped this Square of Light with my camera. The sun through the clouds was stunning, as were the pink bluish rainbow tones. I could not look straight at the sky I was shooting--it was SO bright. As I perused this picture--I also noticed hearts in the clouds. Can you find them? They're above the left hand side of that shiny square.
I'm so grateful for my camera which catches beauty I cannot see, except through the camera's eye.

Circular
I took this photo over the fence in the alley outside the kitchen door. I was amazed at the perfection of this circle.

Perfect Circle
I am always amazed at how many perfect circles can be found in the clouds. I was able to catch this one just before it dissolved into nothingness. Do you see the fellow standing standing there on the left-hand side? He has a really long nose and seems to be fascinated with that Perfect Circle.

Shiny Heart in the Sky - Guest Heart Thursday
I am constantly amazed by the imagery found in the skies. Last week I happened to catch this glowing heart as it drifted over the back fence. If you look closely, you can find an even smaller heart within the larger one.

The First Square
Over a year ago, one early morning, while walking dogs with my Neighbor, I caught this extraordinary cubed shape indentation in the clouds . My camera is never far from my side--and so I was able to capture this amazing sight.
My sister laughingly called it the "Borg" cloud. Suffice it to say, I had never seen a square in the skies before.
However, since that day, I have caught many additional geometric shapes in the clouds and in nature itself.
I have created this blog to share these amazing photos.
