A pendant

There was a nice event this weekend in Reggio Emilia, about an hour’s drive from where I live: a group of Italy’s best designers were brought together by the Associazione Italiana del Punto Croce to teach parallel project classes. I went along with 3 stitching buddies, and took Madame Chantilly’s over-1 pendant class. Rossana is really nice, and a great teacher: I learned a new over-1 technique from her, and assembling the pendant under her guidance took no time at all, even for all-thumbs me. This is the result, which I’m really pleased with. And how nice it was to spend an afternoon with my buddies and with other stitchers. I definitely hope this will become a regular event.

Questo fine settimana si è svolto un bell’evento a Reggio Emilia: l’Associazione Italiana del Punto Croce ha radunato alcune delle migliori disegnatrici italiane per tenere dei corsi in parallelo. Ci sono andata con 3 amiche di crocette, e ho scelto di seguire il corso di Madame Chantilly, per realizzare un ciondolo ricamato su filo singolo. Rossana è carinissima e insegna molto bene: da lei ho imparato una nuova tecnica per crocettare su 1 filo solo, e assemblare il ciondolo con le sue istruzioni è stato velocissimo perfino per me che sono sempre tutta pollici. Ecco il risultato, che mi piace moltissimo. E che piacere passare un pomeriggio con le mie amiche e con tante altre ricamatrici. Spero proprio che questo diventi un evento regolare.

Il ricamo 1 su 1 è ancora per me un duro scoglio da superare!
Lo schema è dolcissimo, confezionato splendidamente, mi piacerebbe proprio tanto passare un pomeriggio così.
