This config replaces some really nice apps. I've enjoyed using all of them over the years, and come to rely and expect their functionality on a computer. I find it's easier to manage preferences and configurations, and version them with Hammerspoon. In some cases not having a menu bar icon is nice (especially on the limited laptop screen).
