Isolating GenAI Logic with RubyLLM
Description: The idea of keeping AI integrations isolated fits really well into Rails by default but using RubyLLM and Gems, this makes things a little easier. This talk introduces FeatherAi, a gem built on RubyLLM that identifies bird species from photos and audio using structured LLM output, location-aware prompting, and multi-model consensus. We'll walk through the gem's design, its Rails integration via acts_as_sighting, and a practical testing strategy using VCR and WebMock.
Talk Duration (estimated): 20 minutes
