Our Story

My name is Temer Hadnot, and I am a former NFL cheerleader who has returned home to Bastrop, Louisiana, with a mission: to create opportunities for our youth that go beyond the sidelines. That vision became Morehouse Blaze, a nonprofit all-star cheer team built on the values of scholarship, teamwork, and community.

Cheerleading gave me experiences and opened doors that I never could have imagined, and now I want to give that same chance to the next generation. Many of our athletes come from rural areas where resources are limited, but their talent, drive, and determination are limitless. Morehouse Blaze is more than a cheer team—it’s a family that encourages discipline, confidence, leadership, and academic excellence.

Because we are a nonprofit, families don’t pay large fees to participate. This means we rely on the generosity of donors and sponsors to help cover essentials like:

• Mats and safe equipment for training

• Uniforms so every athlete can represent our team with pride

• Competition and travel expenses so our kids can showcase their talent on a bigger stage

• $5,000 → Mats & safety equipment

• $3,000 → Uniforms for athletes

• $2,000 → Competition & travel costs
