Brag Book

I had this with our links list, but I didn't realize you needed the log in info. A lady in our ward did some pictures for Tate's First Birthday. She posted them on her website, www.cynthiaphotos.com. To view them log in with laura as the username and tate as the password. Click on the picture of Tate to veiw the album. It was lots of fun and she did a great job.

BLOGna

So, I am finding this Blog thing very addicting. I hope the inital excitement will wear off soon. I really liked my naps. But I am having so much fun looking at all your blogs. This link thing is a great idea. Although now I feel all this pressure to sound funny and exciting, escpecially because you never know who will look at this, when really my life revolves around the next LOST episode.(which aires tonight by the way). Anyway- I don't know what my point is here execpt to say this is fun and it's filling the void where my love for scrapbooking used to be. I hope this will be a way for us all to stay better connected.

I love technology! (our family update)

But not as much as you, you see....
Here is our family Blog. We hope you enjoy it! I want to put a disclamer that I can't spell and for some reason my spell check isn't working, so don't hold that against me. Here is a little update.

Greg is working for Cerner Corporation. This is the job that brought us to Kansas City TWO years ago! Cerner is a medical Software company, I asked him what his title was and it really didn't make sence to me. Needless to say he works very hard and is now in a leadership postion. He is also in Young men's at church, so with mutual and monthly campouts we are really glad when we get some family time.

I claim that I am an "at home" mom, don't we love that phrase. But besides my boys I am finding all sorts of ways too keep busy. I am still doing hair out of our home, which I love. I never thought I'd miss the salon enviornment, but when ever I go to a nice spa I always have to let them know that I was a real stylist once. I've started doing more make up events too and I really like that. I just love helping people feel beautiful! I also took a part time job at Lifetime Fitness as a kid's club instructor. I teach two sports classes, one is for 3-6 year olds and the other is 1-3 year olds with a parent. It's fun, especally when Tate and Brody join my class, but I really do it for the FREE gym membership! And if that wasn't enough, I am an Independant consulant with Arbonne International. That gig is great because I just fit it in with what I'm already doing.

Brody is 3 and full of energy. He is so smart and I am amazed at the things he says. He is so observant, just when I think he's not paying attention he tells me something down to the last detail. I love watching him play with his cars and trains as he acts out what we did or said that day. He is potty trained now, YEAH!!! And he looks adorable in his glasses. People ask me all the time how we knew he needed glasses. Greg noticed one of his eyes turning in, so we checked it out. It dose seem to be hereditery, even though neither Greg or I wear glasses. He can see fine with out them, it's more of a muscular thing than vision. Brody is always good for a laugh and has a great sence of humor. He will start pre-school in the Fall and he can't wait.

Tate- Ahh Little man Tate. He is our squishy fishy. So cute, so chubby. He definatly completes our family...for now. Tate is 15 months and finally started walking this month. I don't think my back could have handled much more. He and Brody are great friends and I love watching them play together. Tate is learning a few words in sign language, you know the important things like more, all done and bu-bye. He is very expressive and we always know what he's trying to say. He is very sweet and cuddly. Sometimes he'll just lay his head on your chest or give us a kiss for no reason at all. His favorite toys are phones remotes and the computer! Big brother has also taught him to love trains, cars and anything with an engine. I swear the other day he said," cool car".

Easter Sunday

Although we did have a good time, Easter was not how I had planned. Greg and I both were not feeling well and kept trying to convince the other to take care of the kids. I never had allergies before and I hear this is the place to get them, anyways with early church the Easter Bunny didn't come till nap time. Only I made the mistake of telling Brody he was comming and my usual great napper was not napping! This was not the day to miss a nap. Luckily The Easter Bunny snuk in and out unseen. Also, I wanted to get a nice family shot of us all dress up by the beautiful blossoming trees outside, but due to the fridged weather the blossoms froze and died a few days before (frown). But I was still determind to send my little scavengers out to find a few eggs and get some cute pictures outside. I think our hunt lasted all of 5 mins. They had fun and that's all that mattered.

Oh- I wanted to share an idea. To avoid any "egg hogging" I had the Easter Bunny put the boys initials on their eggs. Brody had fun looking for the B eggs and knew to leave the T ones alone. Learning and candy, I guess it was a good day after all!

Playgroup Easter

Each week some friends and I get together for playgroup. So, of corse we had to have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. It was really fun. Brody finally understood the concept and found a few eggs. In the past he'd find one and eat the candy and not give any thought to the crazyness all around him. Tate had fun with it too. He was just barley walking and had fun playing in the grass. It was such a beautiful day. I love the Spring.

Hannaclan visit

Our family-Poor Greg you'd think he'd get a hair cut every once in a while being married to a hairstylist and all!

Cheryl Hannafin, Dad Kenny Evans and Greg

Dispite the age differences the cousins had a BLAST together.

Grandma & pa Evans with Tater Tot

Greg's sister Cheryl Hannafin came to visit earliler this month. She and her 3 children Lindsay, Michael and Bailey flew out from California for their SPRING BREAK. We love hosting and it was a great treat to see them again. It had been TWO years between visits and the reunion was long over due. Grandma Linda and Grandpa Kenny came out from Payson, AZ for the fun too. There is lots to do around here and we did it, even with the below average, 30 degree weather.
