Greg and his buddies play in a city Baseball league. This is his 5th season out here and it's always fun to watch him play. Wait, I take that back. It's fun to go to the games and I love the moments I do get to see him in action. Unfortunately, I spend most of my time chasing little boys. They're team is pretty good this season, It can't hurt that most of the teams they play are drunk by the second game! Greg plays 3rd base and left center. He is really good and the other night I say he hit a Home run, He is modest and says it was a triple, that was overthrown for the homer. Whatever- He is great. I enjoy playing with the boys and chatting with the other wives that are there. Behind the field is a playground for the kiddos. I got some video of the boys running and sliding themselves, just a different kind of slide!
Okay- I'm sorry, but I have to brag for a moment here, not totally to brag, but I am just in shock! So I've talked about running this half marathon in October, but as it was coming closer I was starting to chicken out. I'd only been running 4-5 miles and I didn't feel mentally or physically prepared. I want to have a fun experience with the half, and not be miserable the whole time. Well, I couldn't give up and my friend Kirsten and I decided to just go for it and see what happens. So, Thursday we ran 7 miles and yesterday we ran 10! I can't believe it! ME , ex-chubby, ice cream loving, mommy of two ran 10 miles! It's so fun to have a friend to share it with, we just chatted the whole time and I almost didn't notice what we were doing. I am so pumped and now I can't wait for the race, especially because we still have a few weeks to fine tune and really get ready. I already feel such a sense of accomplishment. We really did run/jog the entire time. I didn't know that was possible for me, it's so fun! We'll see what race day will bring...

Sar-a-a-a- a- ah
Brody flirting with Sarah and chasing her with muddy hands!
Sarah, Jane, Whitney & Me
We were so excited for our great friends The Philips to come visit! They moved away last July and we hadn't seen them since. Brody and Sarah had become best little friends. We would ask Brody, who is your girlfriend? And he say Sar-wah. If you asked Sarah, she'd say the same, well Bo-dy that is. (Sorry, Evan. We know she loved you too, but Brody was first).
It seemed like they hadn't missed a beat. They picked up playing just as great as if she'd never moved. They were so little when they met, but became great friends really fast. Sarah was the cool girl thrown in with all these boys around her. She didn't mind playing trucks and cars. She and Brody always had a blast playing together and this time was no different.
Brody was so sad to see her go. " I don't want her to leave. I will miss her".
I loved looking back at these little babies and see how they've changed.
Here are some of their fun memories together.
I'm so happy they came to visit. Hopefully it won't be another year till we see them again!

FEISTy Boys
We have had a crazy afternoon. At one point we had 7 boys over to play. Needless to say, once they left my boys were still a little riled up. They love to play rough as you've seen in previous posts and they just crack me up! Here are some blurry action shots from EFL (Evans' Fighting league).
My brother Glenn is always finding great new music to share with me- And I LOVE IT! Feist is his latest discovery. I just got her "Let it Die" Album today. We always have some kind of music playing in the kitchen while I clean, (and I have to clean in there a LOT!) Even the boys know how to turn the CD player on. Frequently Tate will freeze in front of it and then start dancing if he likes the music, I guess he likes it. Here is Tate dancing to Feist's One Evening. Sorry, I know the camera man shouldn't be dancing too. But, I can't help it!
I love her songs and she has the most unique videos I've ever seen. They're strange, but fun. Here is one I really like called Mushaboom. Another cool one is 1 2 3 4. Hope you enjoy it!

Lil' Buckaroos
Sheriff Brody riding on BINGO!
All the Cowboys and Cowgirls
Our friend Anna Heath had a cowboy and cowgirl party today. It was held a this beautiful farmstead not too far from us. We love to go play there, but hadn't in awhile because of the heat. Today it was a breezy 76 degrees, perfect for a round up! Brody was so excited to go play, but mostly he was excited about the cake. My friend Melessa, Anna's Mom, spared no detail. She is amazing with parties. She made all the decorations herself, including these darling vest with sparkly monograms for the girls and stars for the boys. I am so impressed, I have to brag for her. They started the party eating donuts and running around spraying each other with their water guns. Then they got to go on a pony ride! I was so proud of Brody, he loved being on the horse. Finally it was time for cake & ice cream and presents, just what Bro had been waiting for. All the other boys were wandering off, but he was so into the presents. He knew it was a girl party, but was just sure a car or truck would pop out somewhere. It was so nice to be out in this beautiful day. I'm getting so anxious for FALL!Tate & his little girlfriend Izzy
They seriously are in baby love. She is two months older and they have been friends since birth. They always stare and laugh at each other whenever they are together. I found this video to prove it. This was a year ago July. Sorry, It's poor quality. I don't know why, but you can still hear them laughing. It's SO cute!Brody & Sophie- Don't worry Brooklyn & Olivia, he still loves you too!

Labor Day
Here is our Labor Day in a nutshell: We started celebrating Sunday night by making a fort in the family room. Brody has really been wanting to do a sleep-over with us, so since Daddy didn't have work the next day we gave it a try.... It lasted till 10:30. Brody was being good, but he still wasn't asleep yet. I think he was too excited or something. He'd just lay there with his eyes open and then shut them super tight when I'd say go to bed. I am a stickler about sleep, because I need it too, so we moved back to our own beds. Brody was a pretty good sport about it.
In the morning Greg got the boys into the bike trailer and headed to the park. I ran and met them there and then they followed me on the trail, and then back home. ( I've got to start uping my milage if I really want to do this half marathon next month... I'm getting scared!) It was fun to have them there with me, total motivation to keep going.
Later we met up with some friends, The Anderson's & Hobbs to have a picnic and play at the park. They both have boys the same ages as Tate & Brody, so it's always fun when we get together to play. The Dad's and big boys played bocce ball while us Mama's chased the babies.Tate's favorite was sliding down the slides all by himself. He'd say, " Eahy, Eet, Ooh"! (ready , set, go!) And push off with a huge smile on his face.
Kiersten Hobbs & Whitney Anderson Two of my best friends here in Kansas!
Brody loved playing in the sandbox. There are tons of tractors & bulldozers in it for everyone to play with, He was in heaven.
Greg & Adam Anderson playing with Brody & Trey(They wouldn't pose for me. Greg thinks I'm cheesy because I ALWAYS take pictures.)
It was a very low-key day, but always a treat to have extra time together.
