Has a week already gone by? It all seems to be a blur at the moment.
As I mentioned last week, I agreed to participate in a May Day Extravaganza. This was an event where 19 home based businesses set up tables for the day to sell their products. I was excited to set up One Stitch at a Time with all of my fabrics, samples and blank shirts and hope for the best! I wish I would have taken a picture of my "booth"...
I was cautiously optimistic about my expectations for the day. Thrilled doesn't even explain how I felt about the day after everything was said and done! I received NINE orders for a total of 30 individual pieces!! WHAT?? I know! I had NO IDEA that it would go so well! So...I have started on the orders but haven't completed any to show you. Cross your fingers that I will have ALL of it done by next Thursday! All of the appliques are cut and ironed to the shirts. Now I just have to sew them and then start on the skirts! It will be a busy week! As you can see, I have quite the work area at the moment.
I did make these two items the night before the event. The bear is a brown minky-ish fabric and so fuzzy! I love the warmth of the red and brown together! It is also in my etsy store.
Sunday was our Stake Conference, which we were planning on watching at our building through a broadcast from Salt Lake. We received a call late Saturday night and found out that it was a mistake and that we would have to travel to Cheyenne, WY to our stake center (110 miles one way) to watch conference as it would not be broadcast. For the first time in 6 years, we didn't go. So, we just enjoyed our day together and I redecorated Ella's room. I really didn't do too much except add a little lime green to her pink & brown color scheme. The scrapbook paper in the frames were switched out, I painted her letters and added the green paper die cuts to her wall. I really brightens her room!
Monday it was little Miss Ella's 3rd birthday so I made these for her party.
And yesterday I discovered this in upper most peak of our roof
My "art" is a little scattered all over the place this week...sometimes that is just how it goes.
Happy Creating!
