Green and a barren Road

This morning at work I signed a ‘Go Green’ form brought by a student. And when I head back from work, I find out that project Go Green is ready to start at home. Here are the boys with their garden tools, hard, or so it seems, at work.
I wonder how long before these flowers die.

After enjoying the sight of these two adorable nephews with their green thumbs, I continue reading a book that held me captive since I started it two days ago: The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Here I am taken by McCarthy into a wasteland where no green thumb exists, a land left desolate and a people becoming extinct. This is a must-read. Find the book. Read the book. Then tell me what you think.

taking a break

As we sit in the ‘7osh’ I decide to take a break from correcting exams and visit my blog, for no other reason than wanting to post a picture and a song. The picture is one of those impasses in playing card, much similar to that impasse I’m having in correcting exam papers. The three players are already getting bored as they reach a point in the game where almost nothing works.

The song…just an old one that brings with it old memories, being played on brother’s MacAir as we sit in our ‘7osh’ enjoying the pre-storm breeze.

The clouds are gathering, and the papers cry for attention, so I leave you with Mayyada and Sequence.
