This past weekend Whiscalina and I showed at the Dressage PEI Summer Show in Crapaud. I was very very pleased with our tests and a wonderful feeling that things are coming together. We had wonderful scores between 66 and 67% and won high score in fourth level both days!
Mark MacDonald from Horsepower Photography took some beautiful shots during our tests.

Succesful Dressage PEI Show
Whiscalina went great this past weekend at the Dressage PEI Gold show. I was very pleased with the solid effort and consistancy we had throughout the weekend. Our tests were rewarded with scores between 65% and 66% in the fourth level division. This weekend, it really felt like the work we put in to gain strenght and experience was coming together in the show ring. This is such a nice and rewarding feeling. It was a great weekend, well organized show, and lots of friends and students to spectate. It's always nice to see so many familiar faces supporting us! A few of the spectators forwarded some really nice pictures. thank you so much for those!
My student, Janet Furguson, also attended the show and again did really well! With scores between 64-68 she won all her classes and training level adult amateur high score.
After a busy couple of weeks, we are taking a slight break fom being on the road and then will be back at it with clinics and shows towards the en
d of June.

Clinic video May 2011
This past weekend, we attended a very good and productive clinic with Cindy Ishoy in Saint John.
We worked on some of the test exersises and general work to make Whiscalina quicker and sitting more behind. Cindy introduced us to some new excersises that worked wonders!
Here are some moments of our clinic:

First show of 2011
This past weekend we were at the Princess Louise Park in Sussex, NB for the first show of the season! As usual, a wonderful show and very well organized. Despite the rain, wind, and cold temperatures it was a successful show!
After a training break of almost a year, we moved Whiscalina up a level to Fourth Level and was very pleased with how the weekend went. Both days we rode in test I & II. Saturday we decided to go for steady tests to become comfortable in the show ring again, we received a score of 64% and 65%. On Sunday we were able to improve on that by putting more impulsion into our tests and this was rewarded with better scores of 65% and 69%. Whiscalina worked well in our tests and we were very pleased with how things went and the positive comments we received from the judge!
One of my students, Janet Ferguson , joined us in Sussex and rode her gelding Salys Golden Boy in the training level division. Janet rode very well and started the show on Saturday with a 64% and improved quite well as the weekend went on and got two scores of 71% on Sunday! Well done Janet!!!
This coming weekend we will be on the road to Saint John to ride in a clinic with Cindy Ishoy!
