In the process of doing some file cleaning, I came across a question that I had set aside. In light of the recent Supreme Court announcement concerning pollution and issues related to hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”), I thought it might be a good time to post it again.
In your opinion, what is the biggest chemical challenge facing this society in the coming ten years? Why?
Between the problems of bad chemicals in our food, and the damage done to Mother Earth with fracturing, I am not sure which is worse. Dead tie even for both deadly problems.
Barbara,
Thank you! Could you tell me where you saw the question?
Chemicals in landfills and in water supply.
Tom,
Thank you! Your response echoes what a friend of mine on Facebook posted there (and hopefully will post here as well). And may I inquire as to how you saw this question?
I read the blog this morning.
Tom,
Thank you again and thank you for reading my blog.
Supplying clean potable water along with water that does not have toxic chemicals in it so that the water can be used for irrigation. Over 30 years ago the manager of the electric and water supply system in the town where I lived in northern Iowa did a presentation to my Physics class. He said at that time the potable water would be one of the biggest humanity would face in the future, even more so than energy.
Phil,
